Hello, I lived in Canada and UK. I live in Poland now. My mother and friends live in UK. I have a special interest and sentiment in emergency field in English countries and would love to get information about it and a boyfriend/partner in it. I can't afford to go to a dating site. I am NOT a student officer. I am unemployed and planning to go to a 1 year college for "mediations and negociations" or "psychology and sociology". Greetings, Arnika, 33

Hi Any room on here for the retired ? I did my full 30 with the Met and then an additional 5 years with the MDP. I'm now a full time language student and will be spending next year in a land far far away, so far away it even has a different alphabet :-) A "Job" forum may be just what I need to maintain a sense of perspective, not to mention humour :-)

Hi, my name is Liz, I am 29 from Manchester, and I have two boys aged 8 and 5. I currently work as a health care practitioner in a GP Surgery, however, I am actively looking for a career change. I am in my second year of a degree in criminal justice. I am in a community volunteer in my local police station, and have recently applied to be a Police Special. I would love a career working in a Police Station. My particular interest is child protection and domestic violence.

Hello, my name is Dave I am 17 years old and I am looking to join the Met Police in the near future. I believe you need quite acceptable English skills, which I am really not sure if mine meets the criteria of what you need to become an officer. I am always looking for extra tips or extra help in any sort of thing that will give me a boost to join the Police force. I currently work as a window cleaner, as since I left school I've always wanted to keep myself busy doing something. Working for the Met Police has always been a dream of mine, I love to help people and treat all people in an equal manner. Anyway, I am new to this website & forum, and hopefully I shall…

Good Evening all, My name is Mark and I am currently waiting for a start date for the 'Met', last time I spoke to the good people in HR I was told that I probably will not get a course until Mar/Apr next year. Which is a bummer as I started the process back in November of last year. Think my background checks are proving to be a pain as I am now 41 (ex Navy, Dad was in the Army) and have been around the globe a few times. Wonder how many people out there are in the same boat (excuse the pun). Mark.

Hey everyone, I'm Brad and I'm 15 yrs old, and i am very interested in the police force. I saw this site and thought it would be a fantastic oppurtunity for me to hear opinions of those who are in the police force to tell me what it is like. I do have a good knowledge of the police as I follow it very closely and like to know anything and everything about it! Nice to meet you all, thanks, Brad

Hi all Well I've been on the forum a while now, mainly used it for information to help me prepare for joining my local force. I've found it of great help, so thanks everyone :o) As you can see from my signature, I've been waiting a while for a start date, its been something of a frustrating time with delays in getting in, mainly down to rather heavy budget cuts it seem. But there is light at the end of the tunnel now, I have completed a college course (which is a requirement to join Surrey now) and I'm just waiting for that nice phone all to give me my start date.
