Hello, I am Naomi, 28 and after considering it for the past 7 years have finally decided to join the police force. I currently work in heritage so it will be a complete career change, but it is what I have always wanted to do. A few questions: I seem to have decided to join when no-one is advertising jobs - does anyone know of anywhere where you can look at all the forces in one go to see who is recruiting - the Police Could You site has not been updated for quite some time. Although I am a graduate I have decided to go in at entry level rather than persue the HPD scheme - however is this available once you join? (In case I change my mind - after all I have no idea whe…

Hello, I'm Alan. 32 and in the middle of an application to join Cleveland Police. I've passed the application stage and got through the assessment. The next step is a final interview. It's been 16 months of long waiting and I have joined here in the hopes of getting some help and support with the next stages. Also to potentially meet others in a similar situation as I am. I currently work in a call centre, which is not the most active of jobs. Some tips and physical improvement and conditioning would also be greatly appreciated. So, "Hi". Nice to meet you all.

Not much about me really, I'm a US citizen for the moment. Nor do I work in the LE industry. I just have a major interest in the fine work that the UK police do. I've come to this site to find information about police careers in various places in the UK and information on the possibilities of becoming a UK Citizen if its even possible. If not now, then in the future. Most of my interests involve computers. Much thanks and nice to meet you all.

Thought I would come in and introduce myself I am hoping to start the recruitment process this time next year. I am planning on doing the coppers course at a local college in September if my application gets excepted fingers crossed. In the mean time I am planning on studying as much as I can and continuing on with my fitness. Would love to hear more from other mothers out there though either in the job or going through the recruitment process. I am lucky enough to have my dad as my major influence and advisor regarding the job although he has recently retired. Glad I found this forum big thumbs up.

Hello all apologies for my ignorance of etiquette, i`ve been posting already without saying Hi. Retired early last May after 14 yrs,- all frontline uniformed. Nice to be able keep in touch with the good guys and if i have any knowledge from my years in the Job that may help i`ll always readily share them. Its now my ambition to beat the `18 months to 2 years before you croak` superstition attatched to retirement.
