Just came back from a palliative care/end of life conference today and one the questions asked was "How would you like to be remembered?". My first thought was that I am not bothered as wanting to be remembered is just vanity but, on reflection, this may be a bit unfair. The main thing was that if you died do your family, loved ones etc know what you would want eg cremation and where to spread the ashes, type of service, songs etc. When I reflected on it in this country we tend to avoid this topic and so many people die without the partner etc knowing how best to handle the arrangements. This can then leave a feeling of wondering if you did the best thing. In Mexico th…

Hmmm... Almost that time of years 1st January 2011. Most of us will have a promise that we want to make to ourselves to start doing something good or stop doing something bad on the first day of the year. I will start by saying I am going to be good on ps.com

My laptop has nearly given up the ghost, needing about £200 spending on it. As it is 6 years old and runs XP, it is laughed at by the younger members of the Bouncer family. The question is, should I buy a new Windows machine or splash out on a Mac? The main use is for surfing, email, converting vinyl and video to disc, family tree and photos. Any suggestions welcome asap, so I can beat the VAt rise.

As the topic states so many guests online why not register its free and you would be very welcome.

Good morning everyone! So, who's getting drunk tonight?

I find that most banks do not offer an out of hours deposit service for personal customers. You can withdraw money from the cash machine, yet you can not deposit it (with all banks). Nationwide allow the deposit of funds via their cash machines. An envelope comes out, and you re-insert it with your funds in. HSBC have a machine outdoors for business banking, and other banks/building societys have a night safe, where business users are issued with a key. If Nationwide can provide a service for personal customers, then why can't the rest of them? Do any of you bank out of hours? Share your thoughts.

this is an old argument that needs solving. but the facts are the STF Beat The us Navy Seal in A House penetration and a Hostage Rescue competition they have the most extensive training regime there is.

Found this on the BBC website, and it's worht having a look at their original article. Tragic death. It's a very complex illness, and such a tragic end. The cynic in me thinks that the banning of the advert had more to do with upsetting fashion moguls who don't like the truth of their trade shoved in their faces. Good for her. There are pro-anorexia websites where people with the illness can try to reassure themselves it's normal. Of course it's not. It's as bad as these people who want to have amputations to feel right. It's an illness, one which the fashion industry has inadvertently promoted for years by selecting ultra slim, genderless models and …
