Hi Just wondering if anyone has any experience regarding recruitment and anti depressants? I received a phone call from recruitment to go for final interview and I am concerned I pass the final interview yet fail medical. My Dad 55 was diagnosed with Alzheimers a few years ago and I found the news really difficult as my Dad is so young. I am not depressed what so ever but they put me on some medication to help me cope with the news as initially I found it fairly hard to understand. Will I fail the whole process because I am on these? I am gradually coming off them and my dr says I am in great medical shape and that being on these meds will not infere my ability of …

Hello Again Looking for a wee guideline for final interview. Is the factual stuff we learnt for the initial interview (Tulli, Strathclyde Police Website) as evident in the final or do they focus on scenario questions. I believe they are wanting to assess you as a person?? Laura

I'm not being lazy, I've looked everywhere. Is 'keeping people safe' the mission statement? I realise that this has changed form 'Working togetehr, building safer communities' but can't find anything that elaborates on it. Could somebody please point me in the right direction?

A police officer specialising in road safety has died after his motorbike collided with two cars in the Borders. Grahame Allan was on his Honda motorbike when he hit the cars travelling in the other direction on the A7 near Fountainhall at 4.15pm on Tuesday. The 36-year-old father-of-three was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary but died of his injuries. A 51-year-old woman who was in a BMW car suffered cuts and bruises and was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment. She was released a short time after.
