I failed my SET the other day but 5 candidates failed as well but they were asked to another room then the rest just left. Does anyone know why they were asked to another room even though they failed?

Alright guys, I've just sat and worked my way through my application for the specials intake in december but im stuck on this question: "Think of an example of an occasion when you have shown respect for the lifestyle,culture or beliefs or someone even thought they differed significantly from your own and you might even have disagreed with them." Im just looking for some help on how to get started with this one. Any pointers would be appreciated !! Cheers

Well, thought I would set up a self-help group for those of us feeling thoroughly miserable after failing at either initial or final interview. I failed at initial and I am really gutted. Haven't felt this sad for a long time. Just put so much into it over such a long period of time. Applied last year and copped the recruitment freeze. Then applied again and blown out. I am trying to accept it but it's hard when you can't see any obvious reason. ANyone else won't to join in?

Heard back from recruitment yesterday. Got my fitness test on the 2nd of December, really need to get my finger out now as I've had to stop training due to damaged ligaments. Not been able to train for the last 6 weeks! I've now got 5 weeks to get 1.5 miles down to 12 minutes. My best time was 16 mins 30 seconds 6 weeks ago. Going to be a hard slog :-/ Any tips ? PS. Is 12 minutes the standard for everyone regardless of age?

Hi there, Can I ask those of you out there who have gone through the process and sadly not made it through. My son went through it for a second time and failed at the final interview AGAIN !!!!! (for those who are about to go through it ... the final interview did not have a single police scenario question at all and the whole process was over an hour and 10 mins ... not 20 mins as others have stated) He is a special and has been for 18 months and has also got an HNC in police studies, done over 500 hours, got great sergeants reports and still never made it. Hi,I'm looking to speak to anyone who has recently been looking to apply for the Grampian Police and in particular those who have either done the Candidate Briefing Session mentioned on the website or those like me who wanted to do this before it was removed as an option. Hi folks, just wondered if anyone may be able to anwser my question. I realise there may be a january intake, told at fitness test stage anyway, do they submit you to start at tulliallan before any medical or drug tests results are back? Or would you be rejected before training starts if there were any problems? Thanks.
