Hi Guys, Applying to Strathclyde for the second time, last time I posted application however this time I have typed my answers with PDF version. One thing though, when emailing how do you sign the appropriate sections?? Can you just type this? Hope you can help. Cheers

I am currently filling in the application form for Strathclyde Police and struggling a bit with Q2 on the competency questions about diversity and if you have ever come across a situation where you have shown respect for lifestyle, culture or beliefs of someone else. I cannot for the life of me think of anything or anyone I have dealt with in any of these situations....hopefully a wee helping hand from someone will trigger my memory. Any help would be much appreciated :0)

Hi, hope you are all well.It has been a dream of mine to join the police since I left school, I live outside the force area but I'm looking to move if I am succesful,I have a few questions I'm hoping somebody out there will be kind enough to be able to answer...... How long does it usually take to hear back after your initial application? I applied as a special to my local force 2 years ago, passed all assesments but had my application withdrawn as i failed vetting,but i still have absolutely no idea why,do you think it's to soon to re-apply? Hi guys, I know a lot of you have recently just been accepted into Strathclyde(well done!) and I was wondering if you could tell me if you get any notice if they have received your application after it has been sent? I've been out of school for 20 or so years and as you'd imagine, the old grey matter has become just a little out of tune regarding the ways of exams and the like. My question is ... I came across this photo stream and found it very interesting, it contains hundreds of old images of Strathclyde vehicles as well as some of the forces that merged into Strathclyde, e.g. Ayrshire constabulary. Hi I have a transfer application in to L&B and a provisional fitness date of th 3rd week of feb. Anyone else transferring or already gone through the process?

I am sitting my SET tonight so it's probably a bit late to be panicking. How similar is the real thing to the specimen papers you get on the L&B website? I've found them relatively straightforward to do within the time, but I'm worried I'm setting myself up for a fall if the real thing is a lot more difficult.

How did it go today? Gutted i had to reschedule to the 27th! Any feedback?

Hi folks. Went for my uniform fitting today, was a fairly casual affair and nice to get the kit on!! Reason I'm posting is because I struggled to find Central Stores despite having the satnav on. For obvious reasons there is no giant neon sign pointing to the building so if anyone is due to get fitted soon, it might help knowing where to go. Head along Causewayside, towards the BP garage. Just before you'll see a sign for Pufferfish. Take this turn off, down to the end of the alley and take a left. Easy peasy.
