Anyone on here attended the day 1 on the 5th Feb 13?

Can anyone shed some light on exactly what checks are undertaken on candidates between passing Day 1 and being offered a Day 2 date? Many thanks.

Hi everyone! As some of you may know, I had to leave during training due to some personal reasons at home and work, which have now all been sorted out. On leaving I spoke with my Sergeant and Inspector who both said that when I was ready I could come straight back. They both said that there shouldn't be the standard 6 month block on re applying as I hadn't failed the process nor been kicked off the course. They also said that if re applying I may not have to do my day one or two again as long as it was within a year of passing them. Anyone else starting the hybrid course on the 11th?

Hi, My first day of training is this Saturday. My paperwork that I got in the post says I should arrive for 9:45 at Hendon. However, all previous emails have stated 8:45. Does anyone have the same start time? Also, what can I expect on my first day of training? Thanks.

I'm guessing that this is a fairly common thing, but has anyone done any shifts away from their home BOCU? You know, just the odd one here and there on another Borough. If so, I was just wondering what sort of problems you might have had to overcome, if any? Obviously I'm assuming you'll get permission from your home and visiting MSC Managers, but beyond that I can't imagine there been any problems.... Or am I thinking about this too simplistically?

Sorry if this has already been answered but I cant seem make sense of the uniform. I am due to start training on 2nd March. I'm looking for confirmation really. As far as I understand we are to wear smart clothing on our first day and up until we receive our uniform, and then we wear our uniform. I am just slightly confused as to when we are supposed to wear the plain white t-shirt, tracksuit bottoms and white trainers? In addition, does anyone know what happens if our references aren't back before we start training? Thank youu! Yasmin

Hi all, I've had a room with a mate of mine fall through at the last minute - Landlord wanted someone on a long-term basis - and the Section House seems (compared to other possibilities) a tad on the expensive side - £483.50, albeit it all-in. Is there anyone out there with a room to spare within a reasonable commute from Spring House for a not-so fresh-faced BTP recruit? I'm on the intake commencing 4th March, so ideally the week before that and lasting up to about 4 months? Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this. Cheers team.

does not return the form send to them? For some reason I can't get through to my old university tutor and when I spoke to someone at HR, that person was not sure about the references part. So does anyone know if your application get rejected after passing 99.9% of recruitment? It is kind of ridiculous if after all that do. Anyone that can enlighting me on this issue?

Hi all, Do any of you know what the BTP warrant card/'badge' looks like? I was 'briefed' at a train station recently, but couldn't decipher which force the officer was as they were in plain clothes and didn't state where they were from, it was just to check my ticket. All I remember seeing was a red looking badge/warrant card.
