Basically what the title says to be honest. What exactly do Safer Neighbourhood's Team do? (Neighbourhood Policing Team to the non met people )? Is it all complaints from those living in the area and ASB or is it more than this? and is SNT an ideal place to start if you want to learn quickly? or is it better off jumping head first into response?

Hi there. I've tried my best to find some info on Richmond but some clever googling has failed to pull anything up and same with searching every single page of the Borough Choices thread. So I think I shall ask here: Are there any serving specials who can answer a few questions here or PM if they wish about Richmond Borough? I just want to find out some things such as What kind of duties specials can get onto? especially new specials. What are they like with timings and shifts? Are they specials friendly? What are the people like and what is the area like in general for learning? and what courses can I do with them? Another point I suppose that's worth asking is how s…

Guys I have my day 2. In mid jan. I have been training over the park doing mock bleep tests. If you have a reasonable fitness you should cruise the 5.4 needed to pass but if you hate training and just turn up for your day 2 with no Pryor training you may just get caught out. Get over the park and measure out 15 meters,or if you have no tape just do 20 normal steps that should see you good. Good luck guys.

Morning all I am due to sit my first KEE1 exam this Saturday. Looking through the paper work on what is covered in the exam, there is something listed called TVC. I have checked all my class notes and revision notes and do not think we covered a lesson on TVC. Can anyone help in letting me know what it means? I can then look it up in my quick notes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just wondering if any of the last intake of SC to PC went back to the Borough where they were Specials? If you did how did you find it? There are many arguments in favour - i.e. you know the ground, you know how things work, you know your way around, etc. But there are also arguments against this - will you forever be known and treated as 'the Special', would a fresh start be better, etc? Does anyone have any experiences to share and tips either way....

Im an ex-cadet in training to be a special with the met. Ive been in touch with the inspector in charge of the cadet units and will be allowed to become a member of staff at my old borough. This is exciting news for me as the volunteer police cadets gave me a passion for policing and discipline which helped me stay on the straight and narrow and succesfully apply to the MSC. Just wondering if any met specials on the forum are involved in the vpc? If so, Have you got any tips? I really want to give back to the unit that gave me so many opportunities but im a little nervous as ill know some of the younger ones from my time as a cadet. It would be great to hear your experien…
