Hi, hope everyone is well and good. This question has been bugging me and i tried to ask staff at my training site for answers which has confused me even more as i have had differing answers. Do both officers need to fill in an EAB at a scene or is one sufficient for the officer asking questions to fill in? Could the other officer just make a pocket book entry or is it vital that the other fellow officer at the scene records any other relevant information. I understand when at the scene of a crime, one of the officers is going to be occupied dealing with the suspect or victim while the other records information.

Hi guys I have had a look around the forum for answers but unsuccessful. I am due to start my msc training next month, however about a week ago I received a traffic offence for speeding which I am going to appeal, but was wondering if this is something that may affect my current application status. I have not let HR know of the traffic offence as I am unsure if I will receive points or a driver awareness course. Thanks

As the title says really. Is there any facilities that you can book into for training that will accommodate your for a month? I purely ask this as I will be travelling from Brighton daily and with the late finishes followed by early morning starts the next day. If it is possible I think it would be more practical to book into a facility. If there are, would you recommend it? Opinions are welcome

Hi all, so I am a newly attested SC and have been travelling on public transport (tfl) for years and nothing has ever happened. I've definitely thought about the various scenarios that can take place on the tube and read up on offences that are likely to occur along with all the ELS training. I haven't even done my first shift! The other day I was on the tube waiting for the train to leave the station when the driver comes over the PA system and say's we wont be going anywhere for a while as the passenger alarm has been activated. Now at this point I was wishing I was some place very far away, but given the DPS speech and natural instinct I got off and went looking for …

Are you allowed to wear a watch so you can monitor the time in the role plays etc?

As the title says really. The Borough I have been posted to is Croydon. What would be people suggest, get in contact with Croydon Police station and try and speak to someone within there and say hello. Or would you just leave it and let them get in contact with me once I have started my training. I start this Monday coming :new_sweat: I ask as information handed out is limited as to which station ill be based and all I want to do is do well and make a good impression. Suggestions on a postcard please..

Good evening everyone I am now into my MSC training and really enjoying it. I passed the cuffing assessment on Sunday and the CS exposure without being affected which was weird. Anyway, I am going away at Christmas which means I will miss a couple of sessions, and want to know who the best person to contact is to rearrange to do the sessions I miss? As each week we have had different trainers? HR were made aware before I started and said to tell my trainers however I didn't know what the best person to contact is seeing as they are different each week. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I start training on the 7th but a nagging ankle injury i suffered about 2 months ago is still playing up and is a serious concern. Im a very fit guy ( if i may so myself!) and could probs still do most things other than full out sprinting with my current problem. Should this be a concern?Bleep test was a breeze in assessment but im worried my ankle may give out and i wont be able to show what i can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i really really dont want to start the application process over again!?

Hello. I hope I am posting this request in the correct place. If not, as a complete novice please excuse. I left the Met in 1994. I was given an ill health pension. Also an injury award, as my 'ill health' was as a result of an injury on duty. I now find myself rapidly approaching my 65th. birthday. I am just starting to wonder if this momentous event will have a detrimental effect on my pension. Any advice on this matter would be much appreciated.

For those who have always asked "How comes a borough like Southwark is called MD?" or "What an earth has BS got to do with the name Kensington & Chelsea?" Here is an early divisional map to show you just how it all started... http://www.open.ac.uk/Arts/history-from-police-archives/MphcR1/Divs_and_Beats/db1837Divs.html With thanks to The Open University.

Hello WT, Specialee and myself have been discussing a "North meets South" social night out, where a few of the interested parties, from SYP and TVP, will pop down to London for a night out in the big bad city! The date that has been suggested, is the 7th November (Saturday), which just so happens to conveniently be my birthday .... A venue has not been decided, as yet. All I need now, is confirmation of who would be interested, and is likely to, attend this. Once I know how many of us will be going, then we can start making plans for a big/small enough venue, as well as recce the venue and chat with the owner(s) about the amount of people that'll be over that night.…

I've just got off late. I was due off at 7, I made a very basic s.5 POA arrest at 1645 hrs. I go through custody before 1800. Did my notes and whacked on a CRIS. I spoke to the CPU skipper at about 1810 asking if one of her officers could just charge the lad when the AA arrived, she said no as they were too busy. Not a problem, I've got two statements can you authorise a charge please? Well, she'd just logged off but, yes, it's a straight charge just get the custody skipper to put it on. I go and see a custody skipper, "no problem Ben, as soon as the AA gets here we'll do the rights and entitlements and I'll charge." Lovely, I ring the AA who lives around the corner. S…

I started life as a Met Special, loved it and did this for 4 years before joining BTP as a reg as MPS were not recruiting at the time. When I joined BTP I always did it with a view to rejoining the MPS after I completed probation. Well 4 years later I've now put in my papers and I'm 2 weeks away from starting at MPS on FH borough. The thing is I'm a response officer at BTP, we are given a free reign on what we deal with, I mostly deal with MPS jobs and just hand them over so win win really. When I applied to MPS I was told I would be response but now I've handed notice in I'm told I'll be LPM!! The shift pattern is awful, I will no longer be able to drive to work (a big t…
