Hey guys, So i've got a Day 2 on the 29th of January and I think my BMI may be a little underweight. Is this going to mean a straight fail or will they assess me further? Thanks

Hi guys. Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm hoping a few of you can come up with some ideas to help out here. Myself and another chap completed our intensive MSC training courses and attested back in November. We spoke to a couple of officers from NI on our attestation and our emails/phone numbers were taken, however neither of us have heard anything from anyone about starting. We've been down to the station half a dozen times now and fired emails off to the SI and SS but recieved no reply. I appreciate I may come across as a bit keen but to hear nothing at all is a little disconcerting. Anyone any ideas? Thanks!

I know that in a email it says an officer must declare and ring the numbers (of HR I think) for anything and everything to do with a civil/police/military matter. Also mentions officers must inform of sickness as well. Do they really mean every little thing? like if the officer's sister who doesn't live with them get a parking ticket do they have to tell them? or if the officer gets a cold but can still go to work? Does it have to go to that minute detail?

Hi all, I received an email saying that I should do some "pre-learning" in preparation for my training. I have been on this website and it has a list of links to pdf's, these have titles like LPG1.2.02. It says within the document what needs to be achieved, but I am interested in how much of the foundation course this is. For example, if I could achieve all of the "learning objectives" in each of the long notes, would I be most of the way through the course or would this not even really help me? Do other students prepare to this extent? Also, I'm not sure if anybody will know this, but worth a try- which long notes will be to which exams? Or even, how many long notes a…

Hi all, My training has been confirmed for February which I'm very excited about to say the least! I'm wondering if the course is due to run until 5th March , is this the day of attestation? Secondly, once training is completed, how do you know when your first shift is? I assume you don't just turn up at your chosen station/borough

Hi all quick question if I may. How long is foundation training for a PC in the met now days?

Right. I shant beat about the bush on this one. Firstly can anyone who has been suspended or dealt with a suspension PM me as I would like some information about the process. Secondly has anyone done something on duty that they have later come to regret? As always guys no names, boroughs, dates or sensitive information

Hi, I wondered if anyone knows what the Met's MSC guidelines are on how to deal with sickness, and if there's any leave for holidays or paternity? Obviously most things can be worked around as the requirement is just 16 hours per month but what about situations where this isn't possible or very difficult? Thanks!

As the title says, I've completed Day 2 now the Met have contacted my employer for a reference. Just one more assignment to complete for my CKP certificate. Just wondering how many from the North have applied? Where are you thinking of going? Any cheap ish areas? I've chosen Nortn London as a first choice. Where is PC training now held, still Hendon? And more importantly is anyone making use of/have used the key worker living scheme and could provide some info! Lot of questions so feel free to answer, including Non Northern applicants ???? thanks folks

Hello, I'm half way through the first part of my MSC hybrid course and will be posted to Redbridge. I was just wondering how many others on here (SC or PC) are at Redbridge? Ben

Hi Guys, I've got my hybrid course starting on the 13th of this month, which I'm very excited about. I've got all my documentation everything ready to go for my first day, but my only issue is getting there. I live in Chelmsford, Essex and so it's about a 2 and a half hour train and bus journey to get to Hendon, and pretty similar to getting to Bethnal Green. Unfortunately I don't own a car, but I do ride a motorcycle. So there's my question.... Does anyone know if there will be somewhere I can store my bike gear (textiles, boots, helmet etc.) at Hendon, and then again at Bethnal Green? I spoke to recruitment about it, and their wording was the trainers "should be abl…
