This is how it looks to me;number of officers that will be lost will now be around 600 instead of 1100,thanks to the extra £42 million.Around 1200 will retire in a year meaning that about 600 new recruits will be accepted,most of them pcso's.The rest will be specials with IPS and existing officers from other forces.Any thoughts?

I'm surprised there arent more threads on this rally/march/protest. Just seeing who is going up town for this event? Myself and 6 of RY's MSC will be there (the rest are staying on borough to fill in the gaps left by the regulars going up town. Here's the situation - managed to get a week's work experience with ZD which is in July, but had to find another week. Sent application to PL in October time and the other day received mail saying saying that there's a placement for my second week. My question is: are there policies in the Met that don't allow you to do 2 weeks of WE at 2 different stations? I just wanted to know as don't want to get June time and be told "Sorry, you can't do it here" and ruined my chances of getting it at another place. Many thanks.

Last night in central london (CW), A black BMW 5 series drove past, as it did, I noticed that it had blue leds flashing in the headlights, and a pair of blue leds above the numberplate, however it didn't look like unmarked cars I've seen before, and it had vanity plates, any idea if there's a legit explanation?
