Hey, not sure if I've asked this, If for example I was to leave and I then wanted to rejoin at some point within 4 years would I as a SC be classed as a rejoiner or new recruit having to do the whole course again? Thanks

Apologies if this has already been posted. I heard from a regular skipper that TPHQ were in the process of developing an MSC CID course that would enable selected officers to take on investigative duties. Has anyone heard anything similar about this at all? Cheers

Hi all, Was wondering if the CS spray washes off in the shower? Does it all go? Reason being is that I have the CS exposure soon and wanted to go by motorbike to Hendon, so Helmet, Jacket etc will be worn. Was wondering if after the shower, if I put my helmet on whether it gets contaminated? Thanks

had a "training" day today, consisting of various chats by different squads etc. we also had a chat from our fed rep - who told usa that if we have less then 10 years service, to seriously think about opting out of teh pensions schme and pay the money into a private scheme. just wondering if that is the vibe from the rest of the MET???

I have just found out that I have been successfully selected to take part in the DDO day one on 8th October, very happy about this, and if successful means that in about a year I will apply to be a Special constable..Question is, what does this mean for external recruits in the future, as the only people i know that are being selected to be regulars are internal applicants?...Do you think this is right? Is having a policing background the best way to recruit?...I am not sure.
