Are the black Gortex jackets with the same collar as the tunics still issued or is it just the full zip up one now?

Hi All Those applying from MSC to Regular Officer will know that the application form states that if you receive a complaint on the job, your application will be frozen until the complaint is resolved Most MSCs will also know that it only takes one difficult "customer" and you've got a complaint, whether you truly deserved it or not I know that personally this has made me much less keen to go out on response shifts, because the risk of my application being binned (sorry I mean frozen) is too high for it to be worthwhile I think this is a great shame and the number of hours done by MSC will fall significantly while the applications are sorted out. I've just applied to be a special from the Met recruitment website. Can anyone tell me how long the process takes? I thought it was weird they didn't ask for references or the usual list of your family members etc. I assume they'll take this later on as part of the vetting?

Which borough's are using these s27 dispersal orders if any? Im in Hackney but we only ever seem to use the s30 ones which have to be authorised. I dont know if they are used on specific boroughs or because we live in Metland theyre not used at all. Any help on this one?

This might get add on to the Rail Concessions thread, but am I right in thinking that besides overground rail travel (LUL inc'd) MPS cant travel for free on services run on National Rail (First Great Western etc). I've seen regular officers have to opt in for the 70 mile radius scheme, but nothing clarifying if Specials have the same option.
