Where do you get those Met lanyards to hang the warrant card on?I've had to visit a couple of police stations lately and it would be good to have it so people know who I am.

Hi all, I'm new to the forum but am looking for a bit of advice. A bit of history on myself, I applied for the regs in January 2009 passing everything and then waiting for a start date until the dreaded letters advising that recruitment was on hold. I applied for the MSC in the interim and obviously have since been told that my Day 1 will stay valid for as long as I remain in the MSC. As you are probably aware with the new recruitment model all MSC applicants have to be IPS before they can apply for the regs...this is where my concern begins as my goal is to become IPS ASAP and get as many hours in as possible and learning as much as I can. Has the new MDTR actually been rolled out anywhere yet? We were supposed to have got it last week but it didn't appear and no one seems to know what's happening with it yet. Having done the NCALT package, some of the new features seem quite good: the updated PNC access, proper sat-nav and route planner (assuming it works...), maps with house numbers (let's hope the maps have been updated too...), not losing all your CADs on power-down, retaining shoulder numbers, copying details, etc. However some to me seem rather annoying e.g. not automatically showing you as En Route unless it's an I grade, having to At Scene by selecting the call and also taking you off of At Scene …

I know this has been discussed but I have recently finished my foundation training and have questions about expences.Firstly,what is the current rate for mileage/substances?Secondly,I know that expenses are to be claimed monthly exept for the foundation training.Does this still mean that I have to fill in a separate form for each month?

Hi currently only have 5 weeks left of my SC training, and we have been told on our last day we have to give a 15 minute Diversity presentation, and our group was given Sexual Orientation. Just wondering if anybody who has recently done there presentation has any advice on research i could do for the group. many thanks
