Hi, Was wondering if anyone could help me? I am a serving officer in a home counties force and was looking to transfer to the Met within the next year. I know that they are not recuriting externally for "newbies" but was wondering if anyone knew the deal with "experienced officers transfering"?? Anyone have any idea?? Cheers

Since first knowing about it, I have always wanted to visit the crime museum. Starting my SC training at the end of July, will I or any Special Constables be able to visit the museum? And have any of you guys visited there? and if so what is it like?

Hi all Any Specials on Sutton borough? I ask as I was at the station recently and in the writing room was a number of officers wearing a mesh overt rig over their metvests in which their kit was contained. One of the officers was a Special, the others regular. Anyone know if this is official kit or part of the new uniform in any way? It looked rubbish, just a side point!

do specials shifts last the same amount of time a regular PC's ??? e.g a late shift for a special finishes at 6 pm etc

Hi guys. I'm due to attend kilburn fair on Sunday 7 th august. It would be good for someone else to be there. Very little interest on msc online so thought I'd post on here. What do you have to do to get this one done?

I'm a former Essex special with 4 years intensive (40+ hours a month) experience. (I left early 2011). I have just passed day 2 assessment and I'm currently waiting for my start date. Does anybody know if I will need to complete a development portfolio or any other type of initial on-the-job training in order to obtain independent patrol status. I was both a special sergeant and a tutor so I would assume if I was required to do it then I might get through it a bit quicker than most?

Hi, I was wondering if any MSC had recently applied for DDO posts. I have sent an "Expression of Interest" form and would be interested to hear from anyone who has been through or is currently going through the application proccess.
