Metropolitan Police (London)

Dear all, Following a recent post that can be found here in relation to police officer misconduct resulting in central misconduct proceedings being instigated, please find below the results for the question relating to local resolution matters following misconduct having been found. I asked for information on four Borough Operational Command Units these being Barnet (SX), Enfield (YE), Tower Hamlets (HT) and Westminster (CW). The data is below (it's an image for some reason):

As the end of the year approaches, I'm getting more and more angry emails from my borough asking me to complete those 200 hours. My question is: do training hours pre attestation count towards the 200h?

Anyone else on the 12th of spetember intensive training course???

This is MET police orientated I know officers have free travel in the underground, but when you want to use it do you swipe it? is there a chip in there? or do you show the person who is at the barriers ? Thanks for answering a dumb question. thanks again

Hi guys, Was wonderding if anyone else was attending the presentation at Hendon this Friday? It will be odd for me as i'm likely to be the youngest person attending. Does anyone think my age will eddect my application, being I am only Eighteen. Thanks and I hope to see you guys there! Blandy!

Hi guys I found out yesterday I've got through to Day 2! I'm over the moon!! Anyway... I found a very old thread about uniform issued to Met specials ( http://www.policespecials.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=48807&st= ), I was wondering whether the list is the same nowadays? I found another topic about uniform issued to all forces, but its rather vague, just about trousers, shirts etc. I was more curious about items such as the Metvest and utility belt. Many thanks!

I have my first day of training this weekend and was just wondering whether I needed my boots for then? It doesn't mention it in the letter but don't want to turn up without them if I'm meant to have them.. Sorry if this is the wrong forum for the question.. Becky

Does anyone know what the general consenses is on working shifts at a different borough. I love the borough Im posted to and have no ambition to change, I think the MSC is run and managed excellently and I have never had any problems with booking and working shifts. Particularly in comparison to how I hear its run on some other boroughs. However, I try to put in atleast 40 hours a month, this is around my usual full time job, Im enthusiastic to learn and Im activley working towards IPS. What I have noticed recently though is when I turn up to work Im being paired with other specials. I dont have any problem with this but it is blocking my experience and development that …

Hey guys. Really looking forward to getting started. Anyone In here that had to go back to Hendon for their uniform fitting after their day 2? P.S. Not sure if this has been done etc. If it has then apologies guys.

Out of pure curiosity, I'm interested in the kind of mix of work that people do. So, for example, do you spend every Friday night blatting around in the area car or are you mostly with other SCs doing town centre reassurance patrol? Do you mostly do the same taskings every time you go in or is there a lot of variety (e.g. one week SNT-style stuff and the next week response)? Do you prefer to be working with different teams the whole time or with the same faces every week?

So after 3 years awaiting.......... I have passed out as a PC, it was quite a long day, admin in the morning, parade practise and waiting around for guests.......... but the parade went really well, its when the band of the royal artillery played the Last Post it finally started to sink in, Mr Bernard Hogan-Howe presented me with my new warrant card. I'm finally a regular PC! Congratulations to all that passed in.
