Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has done a cycling course in the Met recently, and knows what the fitness test for the cycling involves? Cheers

What is the Policy surrounding MSC becoming CCC/DDO? Am I right in thinking they favour internal applications more and you are automatically guaranteed the job?

Anyone heard any plans for MSC to be given MP3 courses, as I understand it all that is required is L4 driver and a awareness course? Or even the day may come when we get a solo course?

Anyone with knowledge of the Commerical Vehicle Unit know why they still have this old W reg transit?? I can only assume it is low mileage and still works OK but I thought it would have been replaced by now??! Pic of it here I assume its part of Traffic?? Saw it recently pulling over a lorry.

Hi, I have heard that once you are a special you can pay £12 into the police scheme a month and you can then use your warrant card for all rail services as well as TfL services..... Is this true as this would be great for me as I am from Sussex but working in Met Police. Thanks L x

Hi all, Just out of curiosity what are the chances of MSC getting a C1/D1 course through the training school? Is there any MSC that have done the course ? Just curious that's all seeing as we now we have more opportunities avaliable then ever. Have seen various other courses avaliable (IRV, solo, PSU) just never seen it avaliable! Regards

Hi, I had my day 1 3 weeks ago and just got my results a few days ago. I failed the interview by 2 marks and they are going to call me back to redo the interview section of day 1 only. I do not have to redo the written test or paperwork. Just wondering if anyone else is in this position and how long they will take to invite me back? Also, does anyone have any advice for next time round? Thanks

Hi all, Got my day 2 coming up. I am so excited about the possibility of being a special. Really didn't think I was going to pass but I did. Now i'm starting to get my hopes up. I've been reading a lot of posts on these fantastic forums! My two concerns regarding my application are... References, I walked out of my last employed due to the amount of corruption going on (Managers sleeping their way to the top etc) and now I fear that they will give me a poor reference. The second is regarding the vetting. I have a poor credit history due to late payments etc but no IVAs and never been declaired bankrupt. I also have a small student loan which I very stupidly overlooked a…

Hi, I submitted my on-line application last week and I am wondering what the likely timescales are for starting initial training? Is it likely that the application will progress sufficiently fast to see training this side of the Olympics or are training/recruitment commitments now dictating that prospective applicants are likely to see entry into the MSC after the Olympics. I noticed that the MPS website has now removed the statement referring to applying after May 2012 if you cannot attend the full time training course, so I assume this might be related to current new applications now being sufficient to fill training capacity up until the Olympics. On a second note w…
