Question Uno, I know with OST training you can turn up and get changed into the PT gear, but when I roll up at 8.45 can I be wearing anything I want? I would much rather travel on the tube in jeans and a hoody. Or will I be expected to turn up in smart formal wear? (Don't want to turn up and be frowned upon on first day of proper training) Question Dos, When it comes to collecting uniform, how much actually is it? I have a horrible image of me turning up with a small rucksack, and me sitting on the train with it spilling out of my arms. Because if needs be i'll have to dig out my old kit bag. Hi all, Just had a brief discussion with someone on his forum regarding Special's being entitled to the keyworker housing scheme. Can anyone clarify that this is correct that Special's are entitled to this as we are employed by the Met, however only difference is we do not get paid for it. Thanks,

I live in Tower Hamlets and would like to work locally so wondering if anyone can give me some tips on best stations, the kind of jobs MSCs get to do in the Borough etc. Alternatively I could go for Hackney as I'm living just inside the border between the two. Hi, not sure if this has been asked before, but I have a quick question as I have quite a Lot of spare time on my hands and i am able to do much more than 16 hours a month how's does one go booking themselves on a shift, do you book in advance when your free yourself or do you call up on the day to let them know that your available or do you let them know when your available and the boss schedules your shifts? Much appreciated!

How much of the yellow book do you have to learn before training?

I see on MSConline that CW are looking for officers to transfer. Just wondering if anyone has considered...I am thinking about it in terms of a new challenge. Any CW officers care to share the sort of duties undertaken by MSC officers at CW?

Started training yesterday, and got my time table, On some days it says training in the morning at Hendon for one class, but then seem to be back at sovereign gate straight after.. Will they all be at Hendon for the day, or will it be a mad dash back? Also are the Kee exams done at Hendon or the individual training centre? Any help would be great.

Hi, I was just wondering if the Met accept application transfer? I met the NPIA standard but Sussex have said my written communication mark wasn't up to their internal standard but another force may accept me. I've passed my Day 1, with some very good marks in areas... so would the met let me do my day 2 with them? Any ideas, I'll give them a ring on Monday Cheers guys

Hi guys , Really sorry, I know a few of my questions will have probably been done to death, but I've not been able to find any answers so far! First of all, bit of background about my situation. I've passed my day 1 and 2 and have been booked on to an intensive course starting after I graduate in May this year, with the view of going to Lewisham. Whilst at Uni I am also doing the full PLC course, so will hopefully have the 60%+ qualification needed upon graduation.
