Hello, This question is directed to anyone that has knowledge of CCC training and / or knowledge of the communications officer role. After the initial classroom training and operator coaching how quickly do communications officers progress into a despatch function on average? Is this an optional development or a mandatory one for the role? Thanks in advance for any info you guys/gals can give. Anything operational, feel free to PM me and I can always explain the motive behind the question. Dan

Does anyone have any info on Harrow? I'll be transferring soon but know nothing about it. Admins/ Moderators - I couldn't find a specific Harrow thread that was up to date within the past 12 months - hence another thread.

Hi everyone! I'm coming to the Met to work in the CCC in May and am part way through the process to transfer to The Met as an MSC. I've been an independent SC in two forces and am looking to chat to anybody that has either transferred into The Met already independent in other forces or anyone that has knowledge of this process and can chat about it. Also, I'm told I'll be off to Westminster so if there are any MSCs that work that borough, get in touch, it'd be great to chat to a few new people before I move. I am from out of London so don't know that many people. Cheers people!

http://www.guardian....ivers-bus-lanes tl;dr - Addison Lee are taking TFL to a judicial review over bus lane restrictions and have ordered their vehicles to use the bus lanes in the meantime. London cabbies unhappy, likely to block, confront and otherwise get in the way, with inevitable escalation!

Hi, erm does anyone know if the MET is using a new motto? The "Working together for a safer London" is being removed from cars (you can see it in the pic below) and on the MET website it says: Metropolitan Police TOTAL POLICING Metropolitan Police / BMW 525d / Armed Response Vehicle / CDR / BX10 LBV by BlueLightPhotography, on Flickr

I've noticed Patrol Supervisors driving around only crewed with one person. Always in an MPV. Who are these people? Are they Sergeants who attend incidents where by some kind of leadership and coordination is necessary?
