Ok pretty simple question really, but after looking through the forum for about an hour I have given up and decided to just ask. So can someone answer this for me or direct me to the relevent thread? Just wanted to know when your uniform and kit will be issued while on the intensive course? first week? second week? Cheers guys

Morning all. Im currently a MET Special but ive applied to become a BTP PCSO. Ive got an assessment day on 9/06/2012. Can anyone tell me what to expect with the fitness test? I really like being a MET Special,work with a really great team on Westminister. Ive got bills to pay like everyone else though. It wasn't easy getting through the training KE exams,getting CS in the face etc because of other commitments,and ive loved every minute of it. Im in two minds whether to plug away being a Special to become a PC. This seems a distant proposition. Is it a clash of interests being a MET Special and a BTP PCSO? Going Maybe Unable

I'm going to be finishing training as of early July. Seeing as I would like to get on borough to start getting some experience and shifts under my belt asap, before any recruitment opens. I am conscious that I don't really want to be caught in limbo for a month or so between attestation and induction. As some people on this site have experienced. Can anyone suggest the best way about tackling this? I had a brief conversation with HR but they were unable to shed any significant light on the matter. At what point in the training process are our borough choices actually set in stone? Would it be best to send out some emails/make some calls to a few boroughs to see when in…

Well I got a call this morning from uniform services at hendon, aparantly my records have been "lost" due to me switching classes mid-course and I have to go back on friday to be re-fitted for my kit. This would be fine, and I would not mind if it wasnt for the fact that I have not switched classes..... I have not even started my training yet! I explained this and after some tinkering on a computer the gentleman on the other end of the phone confirmed that they had "lost" my measurements. Now I know they have a huge load of people to process and a massive ammount of uniforms to issue, but you would of thought that they could keep hold of someones measurements pretty eas…

Just wondering if there is anyone with experience working on Brent (QK) who can answer a few questions. I'm thinking of doing Brent because its a nice large and varied area and also neighbours both where I live and where I go to college each day so quite convenient for me. Can anyone from Brent help me?: Are they flexible with hours? Weekend duties? I might only do the odd Fri night and Saturday or Sunday. What kind of duties do they offer? Just SNT ? Response? Others? Hi guys. I'm currently looking at joining the TA this summer, specifically the 4th Batallion The Parachute Regiment. As im hopefully starting training soon would I be allowed to do this? From speaking to my neighbours and my dad who are all police officers , they've said that there shouldn't be a problem as they've known people who are in the job and are in the TA. From looking at the precluded occupation list it says I can't. Does anyone know whether it's actually allowed? Cheers, Blandy
