Hello & Good morning, My induction B is just around the corner on the 29th at 18:00, I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on to what it involves & covers. I have a basic idea, I know you go in uniform etc, just wondered how long it takes to rattle through as and what it covers?

Hi All, I receieved an email with the verification of the course dates and it seems that there is no ASP training before the end of the year, has anyone else had this problem? also i asked if i could do BLS early because (apparently) everyone got invited but i checked me emails and i never got an invite, i emailed them and said that i never revieved an email inviting me early but they was just like oh well sorry so just wondering if any of you got invites?

Hey had a letter from winchester asking me to attend a vetting interview. has anyone else been to one of these and is it as scary as it sounds?

Hi all, new on here just need to advice and reasurance. I am sorry for the essay!! Recently had a vetting interview with regards to my financial status. Seemed to go ok, I only have a very small amount of debt with my overdraft (but dont we all!!) I have had no CCJ's or been declaired bankrupt. I have had a default in 2008 and 2009, both mistakes of being young and stupid. no outstanding monies owed. Was informed by vettting they understand that people do silly things when they are young. The bigger concern, I was a default in 2010, for a payday loan, which to my knowledge was paid up, and cancelled. After calling the company they said that was correct, and they ar…

ok so im halfway thru gateway and finally had medical this week. pulled up a problem with my right ear where i dont hear high frequencies very well. now although i passed what was needed to get in, they deferred me to get it checked out by a specialist. what im now worried about is that in a months time, assuming all goes well i should be looking at uniform fitting but im concerned they may not let me until this issue is fixed ie. with some sort of hearing device. im hoping this isnt the case and as soon as they see im doing something about it they allow me to proceed. has anyone else had a similar problem in the past not necessarily with ears but may have stopped them.

Evening All, Now this may sound like a silly question to some of you but there is real reason behind it, I know a few Regs that use different names (identity's) on facebook, obviously as a trainee special i wouldn't of thought it would be that much of a worry to us to have to have to use other names etc, but i was just wondering what the general consensus is on it as i have looked around on here to see if anyone has asked before and it hasn't seemed to come up before any ideas people???

So I'm curious to see where people are based around the county. So, I know some people may be a bit weary about being too specific, so I suggest we should keep this to a district level. If you've not yet attested, where do you plan to be based? So, I'll start: I'm Eastleigh District.

Hello everybody, I recently passed my gateway and have been given my uniform fitting and induction B date so far. On the same email, I was told that I would be invited by my District Officer for a tour around my station I'm attached to. However, I have yet to receive an email from him and I have no idea what his email is to get in touch with him! I'm just wondering if I'm jumping the gun and expecting it to be sooner than it is intended? So, get given a tour around after induction B or around those lines? Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Guy & Girls, I'm In abit of a pickle, passed my gateway and have my induction B on 29th of Aug, I put down for my station preferences basingstoke and andover, as I didn't think i would get andover as its my home town. I have spoken to the local D.O of andover and he is pretty keen for me to join there team as they have space etc. I have been stationed at basingstoke as it stands at the moment, has any one got any experience with changing there posting (stationing) ?? is it easy to do ? & are the admin team helpful and happy to help?. The reasons for wanting the change are firstly work times it would be easier for me to get to and from andover station then bs…

... That is considered "long serving" (and by that I mean someone that hasn't just attested) sling me a quick PM? Preferably one from near the boundary with TVP but anywhere shall suffice I suspect.

Hello boys and girls, Now I've been trawling the forums for an answer but there seems to be no up to date information on uniform but I apologise if there is one. However, one question I was wondering is whether they give the wicker shirts out now? As I believed they gave them out at attestation. So does this mean we attend our foundation training in the old out dated white shirts and black ties?

Is anyone here based at Hedge End or know any regulars or specials who are? As its the station I've chosen and want to see about booking a few observation shifts.

Well, as the title of this topic states, I would like to know how you revised, or are revising for, your Gateway exam! I'm almost at the end of Gateway and my exam is coming up on the 27th (scary I know) and I've been trying to revise what I have learnt over the past few days and have decided that my revision style sucks quite frankly! In one ear, out the other. So I thought I would ask you lovely bunch of people your techniques to help me and other Gateway students to revise for the exam if trouble is ahead. I'm sure I can ask my wonderful trainer (no brown nose here) for some help or extra questions, but in the meantime I thought I'd try other ways!

So who else is attending? I got my email today to say I'm attending the 1800-2130 Induction B. Got my uniform fitting on the 15th also!
