Hi, I recently received my special constable conditional offer from Hampshire Constabulary and have sent off all my vetting, medical and reference forms. My medical is in a few days with the OHU and my fitness test was 2 weeks away but now its been postponed by 6 weeks. I was just wondering if anyone could shed any light on whether I now have to wait for my fitness date in December before I can be given a date for training. The email didn't mention when gateway training would be starting and I thought maybe I'd get the dates for this before my fitness test is complete as I have heard of a few people who begin gateway training before they actually do their fitness te…

Hey all, my gateway exam is coming up and I'm like looking forward to passing it to move onto foundation just a quick question, what is the easiest way to learn all the acts, like I remember what they mean to an extent, but if you were to ask me what section 28(b) of the crime and disorder act I would have to think about it for a longer time compared to others in my cohort. (Btw, I know it is motivated with regards to racially and religiously aggravated offences). Any help would be grateful. Evidently I will be going through all the workbooks again etc, just want to reach that 60% pass mark!!

Hello Everyone! I have just got an email telling me i've been invited to an assessment day with the Isle of Wight Police as a Special Constable. They've said that the assessment includes... - Verbal Logical Reasoning Test -Verbal Usage Test - Competency Based Interview (With Presentation) Now, the presentation has to be on 'what is the role of a special constable' and should last about 5 minutes. I have to prepare this before hand, there is no equipment available. How on earth would you guys structure this? What would you include, would you make it personal? I have 16 Days to prepare, I'm nervous already!

Hi all, First post here. I wondered how many had recently applied to Hampshire Constabulary on the June/July 2016 recruitment drive? I understand that Hampshire conduct initial interviews prior to national SEARCH assessment. Has anyone had recent experience of these initial interviews? I can see the advantages of interviewing applications prior to paying to put them through the national process, just wondered how different this interview is to the normal 'final interview' post SEARCH. Many thanks in advance.

Hey guys, newbie to the forum. I'm currently going through the application process for Hants (at pre employment vetting stage) and was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?
