So, I have been slightly done over by www.patrolstore.com... :new_thmbdn2: I ordered a pair of boots on the 16th Oct with priority delivery (because you never know) and it got to today (22nd) and figured I should probably give them a call to see where they are at. I was then told that somebody else had ordered the last pair of the same boots, in the same size, four seconds before me...four seconds! :new_eyebrow: No e-mail or phone call to tell me this which is kind of annoying, on the plus side they have given me a full refund and apologised etc etc. So, seeming as I have to look again for some boots anyway, I was just wondering if anyone can recommend any particular …

Hi there, I completed the online application for Hampshire specials on the 26th of September after receiving an email from the forces job alert. After completing the online application I received an email telling me that my application has been received and I will be contacted once all the applications have been reviewed. My online status still says application is being reviewed. I was just wondering if anyone has heard back or can tell me how long this process usually takes? Cheers.

I just wanted to ask if anyone here works from Ringwood station, if so what is it like in terms of crime being committed. The reason I am asking is because I have put Ringwood down as my first choice in station, because it's the closest to me, but Southampton in only 15 minuets extra - If Ringwood is totally dead and therefore I wouldn't learn much I think I may be willing to travel that extra 15 each way.

finally booked on my induction b, have my uniform fitting next wednesday in preparation, cant wait!! so does anyone else have their induction b in november?

Just out of intrest how long did it take you all to get an invite to induction B and uniform fitting etc after receiving your gateway results? Cheers

Hi everyone! Now, I've heard through the grapevine that there is a possibility of Hampshire Special's independent patrol status being shortened to 6 months instead of the usual 1 year... Is this true? Or have a been told incorrect information from my little birdy? Also, if this is true, do you know when it will be brought into action? Many thanks HampshireDave

When you conduct a person check at the roadside and control say something like 'CRO not currently wanted'....what does CRO stand for?? Ive been in for sometime now and have never found out what it actually means :S

just wondering whether any of the people on this assessment had heard anything back? I know there's still a week to run of the 20 day time frame and that we're probably bottom of the pile, being one of the last groups of the week

Hey guys, Vetting again... I have been enquiring with people on my training and stuff and everyone has got their vetting back. I contacted recruitment a few weeks ago and everything passed except Vetting. They said they would contact me, but it's been an exceptionally long time now and I've just finished gateway and I'm concerned. I don't want to keep chasing them up because I don't want them to get cheesed off with me, but should I contact them again?

Evening all, Are we ok to sign passports as Hampshire special's providing we've known the person 2 years etc? Just wanted some input regarding force policy. Also do we sign it as 'Police Officer' 'Special Constable'? Cheers

So I have three sessions tomorrow and although it starts and 0900 and finished at 2200 I am actually looking forward to it! Also got my letter through about my Final Health Assessment, which is about a few weeks after I hopefully finish my gateway course! Can you go onto Foundation before having your health assessment completed or do you have to wait?

Hi All, So i got my uniform last week and have had a few photos taken (as im sure everyone has done) and many of my friends and family want to see the photos, so i thought it would just be easier to upload the pictures onto facebook and then my friends and family can see, are we allowed to upload photos on social networking sites or are we advised not to? so had my station induction on friday, met my SO and did a full tour going through everything all the way down to lockers. was really good and i fully recommend anyone else at induction b/foundation organising it with their SO or DO as soon as possible. i also met two others at the stage im at and now know what shift in TPT ill be allocated to with my mentor. anyone else had experiences of this recently...
