http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-32694166 PCC Olly Martins loses referendum on council tax, with almost 70% of voters voting 'No'. Worryingly he also tweets '"This will result in a recruitment freeze in the next 18 to 24 months and a reduction of up to 135 police officers, or 12% of our current strength." Doesn't look good for those of us who wish to join... Thoughts?

Afternoon all, Sorry if I missed it. I can't seem to locate a thread. Anyone any ideas on latest kit issue list at all for Beds?

Hi, I have an assessment day on the 25th - looking forward to it! Regarding shifts in the specials, I understand that as a volunteer any help is gratefully received however I am wondering more specifically about starting a shift in sync with a certain 'shift', that is the shift patterns that the regulars follow. My question is essentially, is there 'gentle' pressure placed on specials beginning and ending their shifts at the same time as a regular, to avoid crossover which could potentially hinder operations, cover of area etc. Many thanks

Evening all..... Well had my assessment day and passed. Passed the JRFT today. Medical next and it's game on. Well pleased. Never been a runner and wasn't the first person in the world. So been hard work but got there.

Anybody starting then? It would be good to chat and get to know each other before we meet! I just got my checks passed and uniform fitting date booked!
