Hi everyone, Has anyone on here applied to Bedfordshire as a regular?

CAN A BEDS POLICE REGULAR PM ME PLEASE... POTENTIAL TRANSFEREE HERE!!!!

I was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me. My research has thrown up a few different figures, but does anyone know what percentage of our salary is deducted in pension payments? I've seen 10.1 or 11, can anyone confirm? If it makes a difference I am due to start on the next intake (hopefully April). Thanks in advance!

Went for uniform fitting this morning, all ok, except I noticed that the stab vest is way thicker (and I suspect heavier) than the one, for example, used by the Met. Any particular reason for this?

Hello, I've been reading these forums for months now in preparation for all of the various assessments and tests in the Specials recruitment process so thanks for all of your posts, I've found them very interesting and useful! I was just curious if there was anyone on here who would also be starting training next month? For those of you who have already been through it all - do you have any tips for training sessions? What was your favourite part? Is there anything that you particularly struggled with? And what was it like being on duty for the first time after being attested? So many questions! I'm really looking forward to it all. :D

There I was, all ready and raring to go, passed all the assessments, toddled off up to Huntingdon for my uniform fitting ready to start training tomorrow. Got home from stores to find a letter on my mat saying, awfully sorry but only 6 people from the applicants have made it through all the tests so it's not viable to put this intake on, hence the deferment to September. That's fine, its only 3 months, not long, then I realise that the weekend training days will mean that I miss a good chunk of my hockey matches through the winter, and then our hockey training night gets changed, to the same night as the SC training night! Sods Law or what! Bugger! Will have to find…
