Growth. Growth and yet more growth. We must have growth in our economy, build new business, create new jobs, make new money etc. This is the way it works. This is what keeps everyone happy. We need more people in the world to do all of these things. Growth in population is preferable. We are pleased when life expectancy is extended, and we are concerned when birth rates fall. More people! More! Pack them into cities and watch the three-dimensional urban sprawl - upwards and outwards! On Friday 21st October 1966, 144 people died after a coalslip in Aberfan, South Wales. Of which 116 were children from the Pantglas Junior School, plus 5 teachers. The events of that day still cut deep in the communities ofthe Welsh mining villages, long may we remember the souls who lost their lives on that sunny morning all those years ago. Please stop and spare a thought at 0915 today to remember those who loss their lives. RIP Bluebird.

Is it just me or does anyone else absolutely despise to the point of spitting using the term "K-9" to refer to a dog (especially when it's written). Seems to be the norm in the US but I hear it more frequently over here. I expect something to come round the corner with Tom Baker. It's not big, it's not clever and it doesn't make you sound knowledgeable infront of your sergeant.
