Bonjour all! Well I am now nice and settled in my new job, all is going well....however I have taken over a team that was managed very poorly for a number of years, they have effectively been allowed to run the management as they see fit. Since a new Head of Department has come in he has put the majority of them on performance management, which has worked and thinned out some of them but the hardcore lazy ones remain. I've recently taken over at stage 3 for 2 of my employees (ie they've failed to meet targets agreed/ set with them over a 16 week period) and I am aware that these particular staff like to file malicious grievances against managers when challenged about t…

Why on earth would he be allowed to go on patrol without a weapon, regardless of the fact he could not be trusted. He should have been confined to base. A British soldier has been jailed for stabbing a 10-year-old boy while serving in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed. Grenadier Guardsman Daniel Crook was jailed for 18 months and dismissed from the Army in June for stabbing Ghulam Nabi in Helmand Province. It has now been revealed that a court martial heard how Crook stabbed the boy in the kidney area with a bayonet. He had been drinking heavily the night before the incident in March last year. The court martial hearing was told that he had drunk a…

The current situation in iran is critical, sanctions from the United Nations have been ignored and their campaign has lost all legitimacy. We don't know what their objective is but they are develpoing a Nuclear weapon. Obama has ignored the situation there and he is not a clear winner of the next American Election. I have heard that the American forces are going to be re-deployed and a war with Iran has been on the cards for a while, this will be an international event and could change a lot of things. My question is, Do you think there will be a war with Iran, and will the United Kingdom be involved ?
