What would you do first? You are on Skype/ FaceTime to a friend in California. It is midday UK time and therefore 4AM Californian time. He calls you from his car as he is doing a nightshift and is on the way back from work, pulled over in a car park. While talking to you he complains suddenly of chest pain, goes limp and passes out in the drivers seat of his car. What do you do? You do not know exactly where he is but know his city and his place of work. You know his wifes telephone number. You know his Mothers telephone number but she lives in Vancouver, Canada. Go (and try to guesstimate in your response how long till help could arrive)

Imagine that you've just shot an armed, wanted criminal, dead in the streets... What would your Deputy Chief Constable say to the media? Would he say this? == "Deputy Commissioner Gary Burns told a media conference that police had sympathy for Quinn's relatives and did not want to be involved in shootings. "Apart from his death, our officers are involved and it's traumatic for them," Mr Burns said. "From the information I've been provided, the Star Group officers acted courageously and were dedicated. "They followed a person who had twice levelled a firearm at them before the final confrontation. "Police entered through a side gate where they were confronted b…

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-20861868 This is one I couldn't really copy here (it won't work for some reason) but it's been 10 years on since the shootings of Letisha Shakeshpeare and Charlene Ellis - a truly tragic event and one which prompted massive changes in policing of guns and gangs certainly in the West Midlands.

http://www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/index.ssf/2012/12/nine_people_reported_dead_in_b.html#incart_river Tour bus accident that claimed nine tourists. This happened in the county next to mine about forty five minutes away, on a mountain pass that has its own warning page in the commercial truck drivers manual. If you look at the pictures it really shows the terrain. The roads were bad down where we were and people were flying by. Slow down in bad weather people.

Coming soon to the rear of a HATO wagon near you.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20851775 (On phone so cant copy the text from my news app) I forsee one of 2 things it'll either work but take time setting up thereby taking more time to clear an incident (unless HATOs just stand on scenes kicking their heels while the other services work, which I doubt) or You're going to get people craning their neck to see from either end of the screens as they drive past taking their eyes even further from the road.
