What is the definition of an unlawful arrest? If somebody is arrested for an offence, any offence then found not guilty or are not charged could this be classed as an unlawful arrest?

So, I'm reading through my hampshire training books in prep for an afternoons training on Thursdasy. Section 1b of the PACE act states any place the public has ready access to but excludes dwellings I.E homes, caravans, house boars where someone is living. It might just be my understanding of what's written, but does Section 1 cover searching in someones house? And another question on section 1 What's the youngest you can search someone under this act without a parental guardian? Would this be 17?

I was pleased to receive an email from Graham Evans MP, who served as a Special for four years in Cheshire Constabulary before being elected as an MP at the last election. He is very pro-Special and has already raised in the commons the outstanding work that is done by Specials in the community. I have become aware in the last few days that Port of Portland Police Service has been abolished within the past month by the board of directors at Portland Port. I'm sitting right now watching a sleeping scroat. He had a wall punching tendency earlier. So I'm sitting outside his cell so that in the eventuality that he punches the wall again, I can go in and he can punch me instead. We have a padded cell, we used to use it up to about a year ago. apparently now though, we're not allowed to use it. Someoneonce told me why not, but I can't remember what the reason was (sonme human rights or legislation rubbish). I just remember being disgusted. Three questions: 1. How many calls do we go to which aren't really a police matter at all? 2. Who are often the worst offenders in calling us to stuff which really and truly isn't part (or even anywhere near) our core function? 3. I recently applied for a specialist role. I filled in the application , which is the new style "work drivers". I then handed it to my skipper who had to add some info and then pass it on to the governor. To cut a long story short I have a medical issue. It is not one that will effect the new role as I have checked it against the criteria. I am fit for front line duty as agreed by Occupational health. Hello Guys,in 2006 i was at uni and was a bit of a bad boy,in a short period carried a number of traffic offence[drink driving,speeding ,driving while disqualified] ,On one occasion gived false details to police but got caught out and was charged for perverting the course of justice and sentenced to 4 month custody. I've been watching a number of videos on YouTube regarding the "freeman movement" or a "freeman on the land". The basis of the idea is that acts are not laws and that common law is the only law that need be followed by any person should they not consent to being governed under parliamentary acts. This is of course complete and utter nonsense, but I was wondering if anyone had ever come across anyone claiming to be a "freeman on the land" or anyone else claiming acts not to be laws and how they dealt with them?

So we're hearing of cuts, changes, force merger rumours again, cuts in back office, officer numbers down. The Specials are being utilised more than ever before. So what are your predictions for the next ten years? I think: Specials will eventually receive a TA style payment per duty. Specials will get to drive all vehicles and driving courses will be shortened to make them accessible. Tasers will be rolled out across the UK. Remember this is a TEN YEAR plan.

As the description says, does the video from their in car cameras and their handy-cams count as evidence, eg if a suspect says that officers assaulted him as they put him into the car, would the driver cam count? And after watching the last episode of Police Interceptors, they had a camera alongside the ProVida camera in the pursuit with the Golf, if the ProVida failed would the TV cam count?
