Ive just started training to become a police officer. I have a very percular question for this forum, but was not quite sure where to put it or who to ask. If you were feeling suicidal, could you jsut call a police officer out on the non emergency number to get help, if you had tried everything else? Hayley

Hi, I'm just looking for a bit of advice. I finally get my uniform on Saturday, and we've been told to bring a kit bag in order to take it all home in. Now bare in mind I'll also have to bring it every weekend for training, so it's got to be able to fit in quite a bit of uniform. The only problem is, I have no idea how big this kit bag has to be. I was just wondering if anyone could advise me on where to buy one that would be sufficient for my needs. Thanks a lot :)

Hey, For some reason my phone keeps displaying 'Searching..' and then 'Limited Service..' which results in me not being able to call out, send texts or receive calls. I contacted Vodafone, and the CSR stated everything in my area is fine, but no fix as of yet. Any ideas, this is really bugging me.

i was recently charged with this offense. because i was found at the wheel with the keys in my hand. the actual driver of the car later pleaded guilty of the offense and i was told by witnesses and him that i was in the back of the car and before we were arrested he got me out of the rear and put me in the front of the car and gave me the keys. this is also backed by witnesses. at the time i was having a panic attack caused by my asthma and for this reason he put me in the front as i knew where my asthma pipes were in the front. i would just like to get clarification on this.

Recent events illustrating possible negative police attention at a serious ongoing crime in Manchester is to be carefully avoided, but I will merely report on one or two actual cases that were most commendable but never actually made it to official Police Orders. One of the most scary scenario's must be to spot one or more real life thieves at close range in the darkness of night and to decide on the course of action to take, self preservation must obviously be of prime importance, the actual arrest secondary. A phone call for assistance is most essential, and gathering evidence and securing crime scene material must be quite useful, but there is nothing to compare with…

Situation: Your on the beat in an afternoon when, as you walk up a park, a group of youths start shouting at you. It's nothing you haven't experienced before, so you continue on, but they walk out and block your path. When you try and go round them, the move and block you again, generally trying to obstruct you. Just wondering how you would deal with this. I would imagine if you had to 'cuff one of them, they would complain about brutality/invasion of privacy/invasion of free speech etc. It's just ocurred to me because with adults, you could cuff them no problem, but with all the red tape these days, what with adults being accused of inappropriate stuff etc, would it b…
