Ok, this happened recently, the synario. I have had mixed responses about the handling. 7 people in resturant, refusing to pay for food. This escalates and police called. Police arrive, manager states, all food eaten, complint made so 1 meal taken off bill and %10 knocked off as well. The people still refuse as they argue the food was not good (though they ate it) and they left some sauce. They want an extra 10% and more dishes off. As far as i was concerned, you have the right to stop eating something that is not good enough and not pay. But if you eat everything, even if you didnt like it you still have to pay for it. If you refuse then thats an offence. This …

So I have installed Firefox 3.6 and it won't let me reply or type anything on PS.com. The box (i.e. where I am now typing this) won't allow me to type. I'm using a different browser to write this. Interestingly it only seems to not work on this website, others are fine! Is anyone else having similar issues? err... help!Â

You're patroling an area where the local "youths" usually gather on a friday night when you notice a male and a female partaking in some rough horseplay, including tickling, slapping and pinching etc. You see the female give the male a "nipple cripple" / nipple twist and in return he does the same back to her. From previous experience you know that the male is 16 but she is only 15. Would you deem this to be indecent assault? What actions would you take? What action would you take if they were both under 16?

I recently watched the following scenario take place on my local high st. A gentleman using a mobile phone approached his car whilst using his mobile phone. He got into the car and drove approx 80 yards and parked on another shop forecourt ,he did not do more than 15mph and i could not see if he continued to use his mobile whilst driving. A uniformed unaccompanied PCSO driving an unmarked police car stopped behind the vehicle and questioned the driver. The driver denied using his mobile. The PCSO then called for a traffic patrol to attend but there was not one available. The PCSO then issued the driver with a section 59 warning notice. My concern is that this is misuse o…

I wonder if anybody can explain how to do it properly please. Cheers 88

Hi, I'm hoping one or more of you officers can give me some information on how the chain of command would be addressed in a series of related homicides (related as in MO) that occured in three seperate districts around Greater London over a period of 10 months, such as: Would the investigation of these homicides be handled by a Special Projects Unit, a Homicide Task Force within CID, etc.? If so, what would be the chain of command within such a unit? Would they work out of particual district, out of the Home Office, etc. What type of suport staff would be within such a unit (clerical, etc.) If not such a unit, who would be the SIO? How many would be under him? Ho…

Scenario: You have been tasked with informing Mrs Smith that her husband Mr Smith (77 Y.o) was killed the previous night, in a pile up on the nearby motorway. On arrival, it turns out that Mrs Smith is an older lady, around 75, who looks fairly frail and unhealthy. You then all sit down and the bad news is delivered. In this scenario, Mrs Smith asks if Mr Smith suffered. Bearing in mind, the report of the accident states that Mr smith was clearly in extreme levels pain from a peice of metal puncturing his upper torso, and died on scene 20 minutes after the Emergence services arrived. What would you tell that Dear old lady? Ginge

Hi all, Hoping for a bit of clarity if anyone can help. In brief, male driver get angry for little/no reason on a petrol station forcourt and jumps out of his vehicle to shout abuse at the female waiting behind him whilst jumping around and waving his arms etc. Female becomes upset and feels threatened so rings Police once she is safely, home. Police attend and take statement and offer to go and 'have a chat' to the Male and ensure he knows he was in the wrong. Would the incident and 'words of advice'/chat be kept on any kind of record? What I am basically asking is, if this guy flies off the handle at anyone else, will the Police have some sort of record t…
