Here is your scenario. A mate of yours has their office broken into, all the office equipment is taken and placed in this criminals garage. The perpetrator of this crime is known to the owners off the office, and the alleged criminal happily owns up to the offence. But is this happening mentioned an offence? The allegation of the breaking and entering, taking the equipment is brought before the Police. The Police turn up, take finger marks, question all concerned and to the police satisfaction they are willing to arrest this alleged criminal. The Police then go round to alleged criminals garage and there it all is, hard to argue with the facts. Talks then go on in the…

There was in the distant pass a film called Child` play. This film had NOTHING to do with Chucky the evil doll. This film was about a couple who woke up to find they had been walled into their house, and in all their attempt failed to find an exit to their predicament. I have attempted to Google this using different wording, but alas i have not found this film anywhere. Does someone remember this film and point me in the right direction? Thank you!!

Hello all. Im writing (or attemting to write) a novel and in order to be "believable", I need to get to grips with police procedure etc. Scenario. Telephone call is made by a person (unknown) in relation to a group of murders at an address. Police arrive. 4 people dead in this house. 1 person alive, sits in the living room with murder weapon in his possession. This individual is calm and collected in his body language. This person does not say anything, not even his name or anything. Refuses to participate in ANY conversation. I assume he will be taken in (as in arrested) by police, but still refuses to say anything at all. The individual is not known to police …

Last week me and my boyfriend ended up in a drunken fight. The main "offenses" were that he pushed me, I bit his thumb and then he was swinging at me (but only the legs as he was angry but still in control enough to stay away from my face etc) and then he left the room, and then started smashing up the room next door. Scared, angry and worried about the fact he might end up hurting himself seriously as he was extremely upset and worked up, I decided to leave the house. Tried to get hold of his mate to see if he could come over and calm him down, but failed. I didn't want to go back in the house in case I got in the cross fire again, so decided that my only option was to p…

Person A lives in rented accomodation along with Person B, and others. The accomodation consists of a house with multiple rooms; each room acting as a 'flat' for the purposes of the contracts and is rented by one of the individuals - with the exceptions of the corridors, lounge, kitchen etc etc which are communal. Person B is unemployed and likes to have friends around, get drunk and party all night - much to the annoyance of the other tennants who work, and cannot sleep as a result of this. Person A, due to Person B's party lifestyle has had no sleep in 48 hours despite asking Person B repeatedly, in a polite and civil fashion to keep the noise down so that Person A ca…

You are on mobile patrol with your partner, when you are directed by control to attend at a bank and speak to a Mr Smith, who works within the bank as a teller, and deliver to him some grim news. The news you have been asked to deliver, is that earlier this morning, at 09:30, his son Jim, has been killed, by stepping out in front of a train at the local train station in an apparent suicide. His son has been identified by one of his friends who was at the train station with him at the time of his death. His son has since been extracted by Fire and Rescue, and pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor and transported to the mortuary. Mrs Smith is out of the country on bu…

You have just left the station, on patrol your self. Its a quiet day and have not been called out to anything. About 20 minutes after starting your shift, you are passing a small car park as you do every shift. This time you are aware of a car parked, with a hand waving you down out the window. You slow down,a and have a good look to make sure its not a kiddo waving at you. You come to a halt and realise its a mother in the front, with her two children looking distraught, with all of them crying. You think to your self "Whats goin on ere then"... You slowly turn into the direction of the car park, and notice a figure hiding behind the vehicle. The figure then exposes hi…

Real-life challenges... what would you do? (In each stage) 1.You are on mobile patrol when you receive the report of a robbery at a post office. A handgun has been used to threaten staff and large quantity of cash stolen. You are in the next street and respond immediately. As you enter the street you see two masked men leaving the post office running towards a getaway car. What will you do? 2.The driver of the getaway car sees you and panics. He drives off leaving the two robbers at the side of the road. As yet you have not seen a handgun as had been reported. The two robbers run off towards nearby houses. One of them is carrying a bag that appears to contain the pro…

Hi all, just found this forum a few days ago, looks good. Scenario is, driving into a side road, pedestrian crossing the road (in the side road), driver slows for him to cross, but the pedestrian looks at the car and starts to walk really slowly, basically being stroppy. Driver sounds horn, nothing too long, just a short "hey I am here trying to get on with my life too". Driver slows further until he can drive past pedestrian only for him to shout at driver. Driver stops and winds down window, pedestrian sticks his head trhrough window, shouting that he is a police man. Not in uniform. Time about 9pm. So dark. Driver says "so what? That gives you the right to walk slo…

Here's a good one for you. I'd be interested to hear what you'd do in these circumstances. All hypothetical of course. John was recently issued a warning for the harassment of his former partner. He had been pursuing a reconciliation with her and she had given him every reason to believe that there was a possibility that, with a bit of application it might be possible. When they were first in contact again in the first week of January, They asked each other the question as to whether or not they were or had been involved with anyone since they stopped seeing each other at the beginning of November. John had not, and Jane categorically told him t…

What offence is created if a person puts inflammatory and abusive comments on social networks. Does somebody need to take offence to the comment/post before it becomes an offence?
