This happened to me earlier. I know this may possibly be a civil if at all a legal matter. Me and my wife were driving home from going shopping in a nearby city. My 1 month old baby started to cry as she wanted feeding. we pulled off the dual carrageway and parked down a quiet side street. my wife sitting in the passengers seat and me in the drivers seat. She started discreetly feeding. All of a sudden we heard a shriek from a nearby house "THATS DIGUSTING YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF" directed towards my wife. my wife burst into tears immediatly and was very distressed and upset. Hi, Just a quick question, do you know if you have been barred from working with children and vulnerable adults? Are you told in the form of a letter etc or do they not actally tell you? I had a forensics check and they decided there was no merit to take me on bt Im not sure If Ive been put on the barring list.

If you see a dog in a car in hot weather what can you do? At what point would you be justified in calling the police, would you have to wait for a period of time to check the owner hadn't left it for more than a few minutes? Would you be justified in calling the police right away if the dog looked lethargic and obviously suffering? In an area where the police may take some time (rural areas) at what point might you be justified in smashing a window to rescue a dog obviously suffering from the heat once you had taken reasonable steps to see if the owner was nearby?

Whilst flicking through Blackstones i came across this offence at common law... having a google and a reference wikipedia page chucks this out. in which the conduct of its inhabitants is such as to become a public nuisance, or outrages public decency, or tends to corrupt or deprave, or injures the public interest; or a house where persons congregate to the probable disturbance of the public peace or other commission of crime. To persistently or habitually keep a disorderly house is an offence against the common law, punishable by fine or imprisonment. seems more suitable than ASBOs to me! anyone used this before?

I was sat waiting for a train to pass by at a gate & light controlled level crossing this evening and i noticed a sign saying something like: turn off your engine not only is it good for the environment but Idling is illegal Have i missed something? what law is this breaking? when did idling in this circumstance or any other for that matter become illegal? Hi, I really need some advice on a previous issue in which the police were called. Im 25 now and applying for a job as a carer. I have had some mental health problems, personality disorder ( schizotypal). Firstly a couple of years ago I was referred to the forensics mental health team regarding some problems I was having. Now the forensics team apparantely checked my records, didnt even assess me themselves and decided not to pursue anything. Im very confused about enhanced DBS checks and what they actually show. As I was driving down the M11 the other day a HATO vehicle with orange lights flashing came wizzing past me in the outside lane (at well above 70), pulled into the middle lane and a DO NO PASS light started flashing in his rear window as he weaved from lane 2>1>2>3>2 and the passenger and driver making 'Slowing Down' arm signals out of the window. So, having read reams and reams on the internet on the legality of running tires narrower than recommendation for the wheels I still cant find any legislation relating directly to this case. I ask because I intend to run 165/50's on a 7 inch wide wheel but have heard many stories about people in my area being pulled and given 3 points/fine for anything as silly as 195/45's on 9 inch wheels to more reasonable fitments like what I'm intending on. Saw part of a programme on 4oD called Legally High http://www.channel4.com/programmes/legally-high/4od which documents the growing industry in the UK for legal highs - or as they are marketed - "Research Chemicals". The selling of these highs is technically legal as the chemists make use of various legal loopholes and all they seem to have to do is label the packaging "Not for Human Consumption" with the appropriate HazMat symbol and when bought on-line, purchasers must agree to the T&Cs one of which was that the "research chemical" is indeed not for human consumption. Once someone has given a positive breath test and been charged with being over the limit, can they still drive until their court date? Im assuming they can as they havent yet been banned and are then under the limit i just wondered if someone could clarify. Also can we impose bail conditions on someone not to be in charge of a car until court?
