why isn't there any arrest and charge for those who press sick movement (female genital mutilation) on babies? it should be banned cos its child abuse. I don't care what religion it belong to or whatsoever. its damn sick. AND WHY DONT YOU RESPOND TO EVERY CRIME? im sick of all politic corrections. This country is supposed to be tolerance and one rule for all, no exceptionally for any religion unless its harmless act. circumcise for boys should be banned too. child abuse. he can have it by choice done when he grow up

I have a friend who was in a mental hospital who was so desperate to get out that she set fire to a piece of paper and held it up to the fire alarm so that it would go off and the fire door would open so that she could go home. She has since been moved to a high security hospital and has been told that the police want to talk to her. Can anyone tell me if the police will talk to her and how long will it take for them to come and see her. Also if she gets charged what will be the likely sentence? It was only a small flame (about the size a lighter gives out) and as soon as the fire alarm went off she put the paper out in the toilet. Thanks for any replies

Whilst driving into town, I drove past a father and youngish son (about 12 years old) cycling along the pavement, which got me to thinking: Obviously, I could give a PND FPN for cycling on a pavement, but using my discretion I generally don't. SMITH is cycling on the pavement and hits a pedestrian, so there is an offence there. If SMITH was cycling along the road, and was hit by a car, there is also an offence. Which is the worse offence in law, assuming in the 1st instance, SMITH is in the wrong (for cycling on the pavement) and the 2nd the car is in the wrong. Hi, I'm a first time poster and wanted to run this by you guys. During a recent incident, a guy was the victim of a bad S18. after release from hospital he was questioned as a victim of crime with a view to getting a first account, hopefully leading to him identifying he suspect. He did this and identified the suspect, however while giving his account he admitted to head butting the suspect (he was angry over an earlier fight where he had been punched). The head butt started the second fight where our victim was badly glassed. Was just wondering, I was on shift the other night and the officer I was working with mentioned that the city center is an alcohol free zone, and poured somebodies alcohol away. Under what legislation would this come under, act and section? Does anybody know off the top of their head?

This may have been asked before ... but I've not seen it. This is hypothetical; yet not a scenario. Possession of an Offensive Weapon as mentioned in Prevention of Crime Act 1953 only states a public place. Ergo, it'd be legal to own an ASP etc, on private property closed to the public? Again, I do not want an ASP - I am a Specials Applicant - just intrigued in the law. Jason

Can some provide a answer to this: If someone was to take the air out of your bike while it was locked in a public place, would this be criminal Damage? I ask as I have been told its not? But why not? As it is no longer capable of riding? I was told it was not as all you would have to do is fill it back up with air, but this does not make sence? the person would still have a problem in getting anywere? 2nd question, if it does not apply to bikes then does the same apply to cars?

Okay, so how would a driver be dealt with, should they be found to be towing a trailer beyond their Driving licence authority? I'm guessing that in addition to "Driving whilst not in accordance with licence" comes into play; the offending trailer would be seized, however are their other options, such as the driver be left to continue their journey? How can you differentiate threats in Section 3 with Section 4 as both sections of the act mentions "Threatening Violence" as being a trigger point. I understand that whats commonly used to differentiate between the 2 is the use of physical contact, however it mentions in the definition on S3 "Uses or Threatens violence" which is what im stomped on as the definitions are so alike for threats of violence. This picture was posted on my facebook: So assuming (as it looks from the photo), that Vehicle A is towing Vehicle B and both A and B are the same vehicle, what is the offence that would be used to prosecute? I assume that maximum allowable towing weight of the lead car is going to be a % of the gross weight of the vehicle. Then there's the weight of the trailer to be added. This isn't my van, so need for standard disclaimer, but duly noted. I go to a few music festivals and you often see this sort of thing, or small cars towing far too big caravans etc. Hints and tips always welcome

Recently an NFA was given to my friend, the question he is asking will this be shown on enhanced DBS? If it was found to be he was innocent, and Police realised this, for which they have stated it will be unlikely that its disclosed.....however would the arrest or NFA be suggested......also how does this work for him with regards DBS looking at this and if he is to be barred or not.

Not sure if i should put this in scenarios, basically if someone heard a noise or something on their car which could amount to something you'd hear/believe to be ascertained by touching another object/vehicle, that person then stops and checks and see no damage to anything, would that person still need or be advised to report to the police just incase? P.S. I've not revised/taken an exam relating to this subject area yet.

Where has this "freeman" effect come from and to what degree is there an element of truth in what they believe in? Until i had visited this site i had never heard of it and am surprised at how many times it crops up.
