I was hoping if anyone can help me get a bit of clarification on robbery 'puts or seeks to put' as to me, the definition of this aspect is contradicted in the long notes. The force threatened can also be used against another person, not the person suffering the theft. The intention must be to put or seek to put a person in fear for himself of being then and there subjected to force. Swearing in public, especially around children gets my goat (as do bad drivers, but... let's not go there!). When I drop my daughter off at school, there is always a gaggle (yes a gaggle) of women seem incapable of communicating to another human being without using the F word. How would you, the Police, react to a member of the public effecting a citizen's arrest for them breaching section 5 of the Public Order act? Is it even possible to do for such a relatively minor offence? I live on a farm, this morning, walkers came knocking on the door saying a dog has been attacking a sheep. So my dad got he's gun and went down to the bank and there were two dogs, after trying to scare it away, he shot one dog, the sheep was half dead before I arrived there to take pictures of the dog attacking them for evidence purposes, I and my mom didn't want him to shoot it but he did. What is the penalty? My car doesn't have tax at the moment. Expired on the 31'st Aug, bought a new one which hasn't arrived yet. So i'm stuck using my bike at the mo. I received a death threat from a disgruntled ex employee who threatened to kill my wife and children on a threatening phone call relating to him believing he was underpaid before being dismissed for gross misconduct. It turned out he was overpaid and he turned violent and abusive and threatened to kill my wife and two children. He repeatedly threatened me and my family and kept telling me he would be 'seeing me'. The conversation was partially recorded but only low quality and snippets. What offences would there be if person A uploaded explict photos of person B onto the Internet without their consent? At the time person A and B were together, and the photos were taken with consent of both parties. Would it be different if they could be identified? (Ie shows their face) or if the face is blanked out, but person B knows its them, and can prove it somehow. Job came in not long ago similar to this, I didn't deal with it, and it was sorted another way (non mol order was broken as well), but interested to see what people think. I'm thinking there might be something along the communication act, but could be wrong!

I realise there are certain exemptions given to film crews/drama studios etc however what if someone badged up a personally owned vehicle with the words "POLICE" and reflective livery etc. They have no intention to deceive the public into thinking they are constables they have simply done this for the comedic value (whatever that might be) I'm after specific traffic offences which make this illegal.

I've recently become aware that some Mercedes models (and possibly others) include a feature where, in the event that a front direction indicator bulb stops working, a white bulb will flash instead. I can't recall if it is a headlight bulb or fog light, but the 'logic' is that any flashing light is better than none. Now, while I accept that Mercedes is a big firm etc etc, I can not find where in the RTVLR there is provision for a flashing white light shown to the front?

I'm currently doing OST, and one of the questions in the exam made reference to The Crown, Magistrates & Civil Courts Act 1972 in relation to the use of force. I was rather confused, as it wasn't mentioned in the training manual, and I can't seem to find it on Legistation.gov.uk or any google searches. Anyone know anything about this Act and if it actually relates to use of force? Thanks
