Does anyone know how to get the Met to remove a harassment warning? I have been given a harassment warning based on the allegations of neighbours who demonstrably misinformed the police. The neighbours are prone to say whatever suits their purpose, probably vindictive and not in the habit of telling the truth to the authorities. Which is why I want it removed. Who knows what they will say next? There had been all manner of trouble with these neighbours over a planning dispute, unsafe and messy building work etc. I had written several emails to the neighbour and called them several times and never got a satisfactory response. I have quite complex problem, I'm a serving special constable, but my day job means I sometimes work away from home. I work with a colleague who is really quite racist and offensive,often in public. I have warned them about it but I just get who do you think you are. I have mentioned it to the boss on numerous occasions and nothing got done. I was just wanting advise on what others would do in this situation. If it comes to having to use my powers as a special to take action then I have no problem with that as I really cannot stand this type of behavior. Any advise welcome. Thanx.

If door supervisors have been told a person has committed an offence inside a club (but not witnessed it themselves) can they pursue the alleged perpetrator onto the street and perform a citizens arrest using force to restrain them? Or would this be assault? For example person A alleges person B assaulted them, but person B is in the process of leaving or has left the club, can the door staff pursue them and restrain them?

I've recently had cause to look up robbery and possession of a controlled substance on PNLD and, when comparing the two entries, noticed something that got me thinking. The entry for robbery referred to a stated case which held that the stolen item being a quantity of Class A made no difference to whether the charge would stick. I could see the logic in that: if you've dishonestly appropriated something that isn't yours then, to all intents and purposes, you've committed theft. so last week we were studying arrest and caution. I also happen to be a fan of UK police shows (go figures). I learnt that any time we arrest some one, we have to give certain details, ID COP PLAN, and also the caution before we ask question right? For e.g Mr Joe Brown I am arresting you on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on North Street at 12 PM today. Another SC I follow on Twitter just posed this question, and after a bit of back and forth we don't think theft has been committed, but some kind of offence must have been committed no? A person is trying to check books out the library. But he realises he cannot check all the books out because he has reached his limit. Still wanting the book he decides to leave with it anyway. He ends up forgetting about said books (including the ones he properly checks out) and years later returns the books to the library. All along he intended to return the books (the properly checked out ones and the 'stolen' one). Any offence?

Hi all – just wondered if someone could put me in the picture about something that's baffled me. A lady I've briefly been speaking with has made numerous allegations of abuse, neglect and cover-ups against a care home following the death of her elderly mother. She's adamant that when police attended the home following her death, the officers took all her Mum's medication away with them and says her Mum's notes just say “Police took meds for safekeeping” - nothing else. Was watching coppers the other day. A guy urinated at the back of the police van. In accordance to S1 CDA, couldn't he get done for intentionally temporarily damaging property belonging to another without lawful/reasonable excuse?

What powers do they actually have? Whilst on duty I went to a theft from B&M Bargains and the store security guard had taken the guy to a room in the back. Do they actually have any powers to detain? and what powers do they have even just to look in your bag if they suspect you have stolen something? If someone refused to let them look in their bag what can they do about it?

The area I am on we deal with very little traffic process;,the odd RTC here and there but usually damage only and details exchanged. Just wondering if someone with more experience could help me and answer a few questions. Our force policy is that every injury RTC is recordable. But what counts as an injury? does it include back pain? whiplash? Also I don't know how it works in other forces but usually with an injury RTC we interview the 'offending' driver and take a statement from the other driver, report for any offences and send it off to the processing team. So, aside from the 'What can you arrest someone for if they breach a cordon' topics that have showed up a couple of times, I was wondering what powers and grounds the Police have for setting up various cordons e.g. crime scene or RTC. For example- common law, public decency for a serious or fatal RTC, perhaps?

Evening all, Im after a little advice. There are a lot of very good threads on this forum so this seemed like the place to be. I work as an engineer for a recycling plant. We have a fleet of various types trucks and if we get a breakdown, im expected to go out and deal with it, or organise recovery if i cant. So, the company has provided me with some amber 12 LED Gen 3 heads to fit to my Nissan Navara, i have 4 on the back, with 2 coverts in the rear lights, 2 on the front roof above the windscreen and 2 in the front grille.
