section 4 RTA unfit through drink and drugs and section 5 RTA... I know section 5 is drink only, but usual procedure is to conduct a roadside breath test if you have reasonable suspicion, and obviosuly if positive you would arrest for a section 5 being over the prescribed limit. So what circumstances would you arrest for section 4 just alcohol related?

Hello, Right i believe i'm correct in saying that if a person walks out infront of a car and the driver hits them then hes at fault? Correct me if i'm wrong please... What would the case be for a motorcycle? is it the same or not as "stopping" suddenly on a bike is alot more dangerous and can cause alot of danger to the rider.... Thanks

So i posted a few weeks ago about an officer using IMO excessive force. Today the same officer turns up back at my house (i live with grandparetns) whilst everyone except a 16 year olf girl and a 9 year old lad is in. Now i have a lock on my bedroom door to keep certain people out of my room (i do an IT degree so lots of techy and expensive stuff in there). Low and behold my bedroom door is booted open causing a lot of wall damage. An officer has just come out-and said nothing can be done cos they believe the person they are looking for was at my house-he wasn't! Now he said the police are not liable to pay for the damage. Under section 17 of pace it states "Officers …

Hi Guys If someone was given a court summons and had the option to "plead guilty in their adsense" or "plead guilty and attend the court hearing. If the person was to plead guilty and not attend would this look bad? Would the court maybe give a harsher sentence if you didn't attend?

I got stopped in my Rover Ti somehwere in the middle of June on the A19 by a traffic cop. He gave me a producer to produce my documents within 7 days at a station of my choosing. I chose Darlington. 5 days later i produced, they checked and i went home. The other day i got a court summons to come to court for not producing any of my driving documents!!!!!! From the stuff they've sent me with the letter theres a statment from some officer from Darlington Police station who says theres no record in their books of me producing the documents. Well DUH, the guy behind the counter checked the documents and then told me i could go, so i did. So the bottom line is i produced…

I need some advice for a friend of mine. His sister committed suicide this year, she was raped by her 20something year old cousin who came over to stay. She was 15 at the time. The family didn't do anything about it when they found out months later, because she didn't want the police involved or anyone else knowing about it. Now she's dead, she committed suicide, and her smug rapist of a cousin has moved away, and my friend and his family are unable to move on from this tragedy. I advised him yesterday to find out what his options are, what his chances are if he finally involves the police. Is it too late to do anything? What are their options? Does anyone out there hav…

It is an offence to supply a friction lock baton to anyone other than for purposes of the Crown. How do the makers of the Bill get around the law?

Just a thought but would it effect the validity of a ticket if the camera van itself was parked illegally? For example with the entire van on a pavement. This seems to be commonplace and does not do anything for public support in my opinion. Is it justifiable to break a traffic law to enforce one?

Is it, or could it be, a crime? A bunch of like-minded people get together in the dead of night to cultivate a piece of land in the city that would otherwise have been neglected. How about "guerilla maintenance"? - where a similar group get together and repaint railings and try and instill a bit of civic pride.

Is there a legally defined limit, of how much diesel you can carry in a vehicle, assuming of course it is stored in an appropriate container and has suitable hazard labels affixed. I ask because we need to transfer diesel from one of our sites to another site. The amount required does not justify a tanker.

Still working as security in a night club and we have just been told that we are no longer allowed to wear boots and have to wear shoes whilst working. I have always worn boots at work, even when i was working as a chef, because i feel more comfotable in them. The only time i wear shoes is with my suit for interviews etc. At work just now(in the night club) i wear magnum classics...they provide me with grip on the slippery alchohol covered floor and they give me ankle support for running up and down stairs to incidents. Also...there is nothing worse than your shoe falling off in a scuffle! I have told my supervisor i am refusing to wear shoes, so now they are taking di…
