Hey, i was just wondering if anyone here could help me. Basicaly i work in a bike shop. we get alot of repairs and sometimes we throw wheels out that are broken. As you all know the price of scrap metal is going so these wheels can that we throw out can be weighed in. I myself dont mind someone going through the bins and taking them out. If they want to be that scruffy then so be. The annoying bit is that we have to sort out the cardboard from the bikes so that it can be recycled. this is placed next to the bin which has all the other rubbish in it. Strangest thing has just happened to me, my dad just said he has a gun. *poops self and jumps behind bed* Its what he had as a child (which was legal at the time) and he was clearing out the attic at my nanna and granddads house today and there it is. My granddad said he would just throw it on the tip, but my dad said know because if someone saw it, well im sure they would be suspicious of a gun being put in the tip. I know that years ago it was against the law to use foul and or offensive language in public places. BUT now not only is commonplace but also the frequent Police camera Action programs on the television repeated film and transmit the police actually being sworn at etc etc. but only tonight have I seen a policeman arrest a man for that offence. My questions are 1) Has the law changed? Or is it still an offence to use foul language in public ? 2) Why do we not see hundreds of people being arrested and charged for just that ?

Just wondered how people felt about clampers and what you would do if you were called to a dispute where a MOP cut off a clamp on private property. I just watched Fifth Gear where they were activity suggesting (if its on private property, not local authority property) that you just cut the clamp off and drive way. First I thought this was bad advice but thinking about it, they clamp you by putting up a sign and you reading that sign and entering in to a contract where you agree to being clamped. Hi all, i am an aspiring Police Officer myself. Last night in my Criminology Degree course the whole class had to devise a list of 5 charachteristics they think of when describing a Police officer (i think i was the only one in the group who put all 5 positve things ) Anyway, after making these lists we were told that if we had put mostly negative things down we had to go to one side of the room and if we had put mostly positive things, we would go to the oppostite side of it. Hi, So I am on duty with a Special colleague a couple of days ago, and we stop a car which had 6 people in it (it was Renault Clio.) While investigating this we find that there is a switch panel inside the car which operates: - A wig wag headlight system - Two green LED heads fitted in to the grill of the car They weren't using any of the above at the time, however, nobody was a registered GMC doctor. The LED heads were clear when switched off (I was actually expecting them to show up blue.) Which leads me on to my question. Was an offence committed by having either of these systems fitted to their vehicle? I'd be interested to hear of the answer for the same situat…

Hi, well, its been a busy night for me tonight, big storms mean high winds and lots of rain, sounds ideal to go out riding on my motorbike right? Anyways, While riding down country lanes I came across a huge tree that had obviously just blown over from the wind and was blocking the entire road, nothing was able to get by. There were no other cars around, just me and my bike. What i did was dial 999 and speak to the police. The lady on the phone seemed very nice and thanked me for phoning in and telling her. My question is, was this the right thing to do? 999 is for emergenies only right? Is there a nmber I should have called instead? Thanks Eliott Barr

If a person is arrested for aggravated TWOC can station procedures for a breath test be carried out if that person has not been breathalysed at the roadside? Or would that person have to be arrested for driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs first before the procedure is carried out?

Motorbikes regularly squeeze through traffic in betweeen 2 or 3 lanes at traffic lights, weave at over the speed limit on dual carriageways and tend to look round rather than indicate. Where in law can they do this? What else are they exempt from? Do motorbikers get greater discression on account of the fact they drive a smaller, nippier machine than a car?

what sort of evidence is required to convict those comminting hate over along period of time towards others,? this would include, attack in the street, damage to property, theaft, motivating upto 1000 people to shout, intimidate and make up stories about the victim to degarde them and incidents that never happened.

Ok so whilst studying for part 1 exams I have already hit a slight snag...a nyone who could clear up the difference in vicarious liability and corporate liability, I thought I had it sorted until I answered a practice question wrong about a shop assistant serving alcohol to an under 18 year old, would the company be vicariously liable or corporately liable!?? On tv there seems to be a rift between uniform and cid even tho cid would have started in umiform anyway. is this just friendly rivalry or something more solid.? ive seen it on old films from the 50s too so seems to have going on for sometime.

What type of warrant do i require to enter property in order to see if abstraction is taking place ? Normal magistrates warrant completed as per a normal theft act warrant or a S8 warrant as i am looking for "evidence" of an abstraction ie on the normal magistrates warrant i cant say i am looking for "stolen electricity" EDF our local supplier is not getting the warrant as i believe is often the case as they are technically not the IP's in this case, the local council are, so it is falling to me to get warrants to cover the eventuality that we may have to enter property to see if it is taking place. do wpc's find it easier to arrest males than females? do females get a little upset by another woman with a little power? do men get a kick out of being arrested by a wpc? i dhave no problems being handcuffed by a wpc, then again thats got nothing to do with being arrested

Hi - if someone was to have a minor non injury vehicle collision in a supermarkets own car park, and fails to report it, are ther grounds for Police action eg failing to report, driving without due care etc.
