I test drive a rather specialised vehicle that is fitted with a four point harness with provision for a fifth crutch strap which isn't fitted. My main question is: Can I legally on the road use three points of the harness as in two across the lap and the right shoulder which would replicate the usual car type restraint or do I have to use all four because they are there? Does everyone else get sick of the way the police and other emergency services get used and abused by the same minority of individuals. I would love to be able to spend some time with th 95% of people who pay taxes but never encounter a police officer.I am sure most wouldn't want this intrusion, but the point I am making is that the tiny minority get an enormous amount of attention and money from the state. I am looking to deal with a 50cc/125cc (unsure which) off-road style motorcycle which has been ridden irresponsibly recently (doughnuts on grass areas, riding on pavements, skidding on roads etc etc). It appears that as an NQT you are paid less than the probationer constables and that the police pay scales now 'out rank' the teacher scales. How does this fair in other similar public sector roles or pay bands? I've heard rumour that there have been changes recently to our powers allowing persons to be detained in private property/dwelling where we've concerns over their mental health, basically expanding our powers from just public places to anywhere.
