For how long can a foreign registered vehicle be driven in the UK before it has to be UK registered.

Can anyone help answer this question please? If you received a 'caution' when you were 16 and you are now 40 would you still need to declare it on an application to the police? The situation is that the person in question was visited by a police officer when he was 16 over him taking a broken packet of biscuits from the stock room of the supermarket where he worked and placed it in the staff room for others to eat. The problem was that consent to do this was not obtained. He was subsequently sacked for 'theft' and received a visit from a police officer some hours later who said that he was sent to caution him but that it was a waste of time and not to do it again. Apologies if this thread has already been covered before, although i have tried searching past tractor threads. can anyone tell me what the law is in relation to tractors and there use on the public highway, does the tractor require an MOT, and does it have to be within a prescribed distance of the farm. I ask because it appears that a youth is running around our estate, and it appears that the individual is not using the tractor for agricultural purposes. Apart from ASB issues is this individual breaking any law.

What DNA are the police allowed to take from you when you are arrested and taken to custody, im aware that when you are arrested your DNA is put on a national database, but what DNA? Thanks Didsterxx

Sorry if this has been covered, i used the search function but come back blank. What specific power do we have to search gardens, yards etc. to look for evidence surrounding a crime scenes. I'm refering to large area searches over a number of streets not the taped inner corden of a crime scene. Another example would be large scale searches used to look for mispers. I believe there is something re implied consent, but if someone told you to get off their land is there a power that would allow you to continue or would you need to go away and come back with a warrant?

Good morning, I am posting this question in a hope you can tell me the legal situation regarding an incident that happened yesterday on our land. We live in Norfolk and our land is surrounded by other land with shooting rights. There are no shooting rights on our land. Heard my car alarm going of at about 4am, looked out the window and a guy is trying to break in, I dialled 999 and got dressed and went downstairs. The guy had dissapeared and the police arrived within 2 minutes!! They searched the area but he was gone. I know alot of the public moan when the police take ages to turn up, so WELL DONE to the police!! Rewarded them with a nice cup of tea each and a whole packet of jaffa cakes!

Hi all Im a tad confused, about the power of arrest for offences. For more minour offences that are covered by statutory powers of arrest. Are these statutory powers provided by PACE 1984 s24? or must the legislation its self stipulate that it is an offence that is "arrestable by a constable"? As ive been looking at the opsi website and several offences like Public Order act 1986 s3 - s5 do stipulate that they are arresable by a constable however when i started looking at Misuse of drugs act 1971 s5 i couldent spot the "arresable by a constable" part? Just wondering if Safety Stewards have any sort of legal powers or anyting? Any powers they have will be set out in the Private Securities act, i know they have to be qualified to NVQ level 2 in spectator safety. Does poaching still carry such penalties as it did when there was alot of it done? I have a lurcher puppy, and there is an old unused football field at the back of a park close to me. I know that the park do not own it as I have asked the groundskeeper, and he told me that the field is council owned. Now if I were to slip the dog on rabbits on the field, what could be done? I know that many many people do walk there dogs on it, so going on it is not a problem with a dog, but I am meaning lamping at night. i have posted on here before and got some advice but u might not remember me . i wrote about my brother that i was having big problems with as all my life he has made me do stuff i dont want to and being a adult didnt change that and after a lot of couselling . i went to the police who did a lot of hours of video interviews and took him in and he denyed it all then in the end they did nothing about it only 2 advise me to go to court to get a injunction which we did which he is now on for 12 months. i had a couseller and a social worker help me to do this as i have mental health probs mainly self harm and i need support to do a lot of things whixch is why i have never fel…
