In appyling for an interdict, can I ask the police to provide copies of incidents (statements) logged against the offender that I have made, even in cases where the police have been unable to act (i.e no witnesses) and cases which have gone to court and the offender has served a penalty? (In crimes related to me and my children, not looking for other crimes he has committed as they are none of my business) I would like the documents forwarded to my solicitor to present before the sheriff to help him decide. If I sign a mandate giving my authority for the solicitor to collect this information on my behalf, will the police be able to release the information? (I have inciden…

Two people live together and combine their salaries to one fund to pay bils, going out etc. They also have £200 each from that fund to do as they please. So essentially all money that comes in to the house is shared with the expection of the £200 each. A loan is taken out by one of the couple without the others knowledge. The loan is paid back through the joint funds - is this theft, fraud or no offence?

I have been a victim of crime in the past, and never seem to get any justice for what happens, and again my family has been a victim of crime tonight. When DNA is taken from a suspect, is it kep forever even if they're not guilty. I read somewhere it should be destroyed if the person is rules out of an investigation. Does anyone have a link to show this? Thanks

We had a bike stolen from our back garden the sunday before christmas, we phoned the police and everything they sent soeone out we got the crime number and everything. So we are not expecting to see this again as it was quite an expensive bike. So today i awake to hear my mother having a raised voice conversation with two youths at my frount door attempting to sell us back our bike which they know was stolen for£80 yes this is less then ten percent of the original price. my ex attacked me in front of our son he was arrested on abh then re arrested on gbh charge due to my injuries. these inluded fractured ribs,pirced lung and caused my lung to collapse.swollen cheek bone and a black eye. we went to crown court where some how he was found not guilty even tho this was done in front of our son who was 2 at the time. does he have a criminal record or not? thank you for your help

Now after receiving payment Via paypal and me handing over all the information that he needed I thought nothing more of it and went to sleep. the next day upon logging onto my paypal account it had appeared that the buyer had reversed the money but still had access to the account I now have access to the money in the paypal account but paypal are asking me to refund it from a legal point of view should i have to return the money to this person i have all chat logs and screen shots of the talk and the tran…

I've just remembered that when myself and a colleague were in Custody on Mad Friday before Christmas, what looked like a student officer with her tutor brought in a prisoner and the circumstances were the familiar ones of, male gets into taxi, at the other end has no money on him or means to pay etc. Now he was booked in for fraud by false representation, which the Sgt accepted, however myself and my colleague agreed that as far as the new Fraud Act goes, we've always heard obtaining services dishonestly being used and thought that was the most appropriate offence for such a situation (or of course bilking is if they make off). Two blokes fighting in the street outside a pub. Not druink. Then police arrive but no one wants to make an allegation against the other. DO they still get nicked for fighting? What if one started on the other and one was just fighting to defend himself. Would they both get punished. That seems unfair to me!

In 2003 i was a student in the UK, i was arrested in public for a minor incident. My question is, can the police under any circumstances inflict pain on someone, as long as that person is not physical violent?
