Hi, Hope you dont mind the vague title! I was watching a program last night, cant remember which force it was (up North somehere) and the officers had a little machine which produced Fixed penalty tickets on the spot. Thought they looked great and must save loads of time? Are these getting rolled out across all forces or are they readily available at the moment? sorry for my ignorance but it must save so much time and paperwork?

Under S.7 (3) Children & Young Person Act 1933 a constable in uniform may seize tobacco and cigarettes off of a person under the age of 16 (the law hasn't yet been updated to include 16 and 17 year olds). PCSO's have a power under Paragraph 7A of Schedule 4 to the Police Reform Act 2002 to search for tobacco on a person under 16 if they have reasonable belief they have tobacco on them. Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or any idea what can actually be done on this matter? There is a group of parents at the Primary School here, where my sister's take there kids.. bare in mind, my two sisters keep there heads down, they aren't the 'street fighting' type. I was sitting at work doing some paperwork with another officer the other day. I had gotten some CCTV from a shop and they had asked me to sign some paperwork acknowledging that they had passed the CCTV to them and that I would not use it without telling them or for non-police purposes or something. Hi everyone, got a question from a colleague at work which I honestly coudlt answer! Basically this lad has 9 penalty points on his licence, and 6 of these would of been on his licence since Febuary this year (date of offence) which means they have been on there for 3 years. Now I know that after 3 years these points will not be valid BUT are not removed from his licence until 4 years have allapsed. His question is, even though these 6 points are no longer valid - does that mean he technically has only 3 points on his licence now and if he gets caught for speeding again, he won't get his licence revoked? Hi, I would like your advice please. Its snowing here in derbyshire and we live on a bit of a hill (slope) my neighbour has two cars, on arriving home this afternoon from visiting my mum I parked up as normal and noticed that the neighbours red car was there but not his silver car. Bascley i was bein folowed down a dark country lane a weeks back. The driver was literaly bumper to bumper with me at this point i fealt threatend so as i ahve a hight performance car i floored it left the over driver but then phone the police my question is as i do alot of motor ay driving can i get doen for using my mobile while making call to police were i think my life is indanager, ALso if the driver was caught what offence would they have commited. What offence if any is there of knowingly harbourning a wanted person in your house? Im sure obstruction could be considered but is there anything specific.

Im confused as Im getting different answers to this question. I purchased a 49cc for Jnr and noticed that the bike has no rear tail light over the number plate. My next door neighbour who is a superbike geek and rider tells me a 49cc does not require a tail light, my local bikeshop tells me it does but it's not a fail on an MOT, not to have one. Does anyone know who has the knowledge on such road law matters if this small hairdryer needs a rear tail light. I would have thought so! Hi. Does anyone know what the UK law is on going abroad to a country where canabis for instance has been legalised and smoking it there? What would happen if you came back to england and were subject to a drugs test at work or something and tested positive but you had only taken drugs where it was legal.

hi there I guess it causes a lot of confusion: if somebody was arrested on suspicion of common assault and then released with no charge 'insufficient evidence' would it be shown on their ehnanced crb? cheers
