Is it an offence / an arrest able offence to film a Police Officer? I don't have any particular scenario but I would like to know. Matt

Any thoughts on this http://thomashawk.com/2009/01/new-law-in-t...ruary-16th.html I wonder if this will become common use by the police to stop persons filming or if it just stays around Whitehall

1. So you're English. If you get banned in the UK you have lost your licence. What happens if I get convicted of drink driving in another EU country? Can they have my licence revoked, or does it only count in that country? That's to say if I am banned in France, do I keep my UK licence and can drive in any other country? Is it any different for a non-EU European country? 2. The same as above, but this time I am French, and I am on an international licence. Does this correspond at all to my normal DL with regards to points, or only in the country of origin? 3. In case EU countries do "share" points, any differences for non-EU Euro countries?

What would you do? Called to a job - group of kids (10 or so) seen to break some windows on a scout hut. Arrive at scene, witness points to group and says it was one of them, but cant tell you which. You know it was one of them, but they wont tell you who did it. Surely you cant nick them all. Take details from all of them and then call csi?? What if it was a rural location - no cctv?? I'm helping a friend with his final piece of work for his university course, He is a film student and he is doing a bar fight whereby someone gets killed by being glassed. Now in the script during the police interview the police officer mentions "involentary manslaughter" I pointed out that I believe that in this case, it is not involentary, as I always thought that involentary manslaughter was if you never set out to hurt anyone. but he wasn't so sure. Eg drink driving and killing someone. Obvioulsy this is not a real case, but if someone could clear that up for me, I would be most greatfull. Thanks in advance Aaron

Hi all I'm hoping someone can give me advice on my little problem. A few weekends ago, I was at a bar/club with 2 friends. We were about to watch a live band play and the three of us made our way to the front of the stage. There was a large black pole in the middle which I was leaning up against. My 2 friends were to the right of this pole. To my left was a girl who was dancing and kept bumping up against me so hard and repeatedly, that I got banged up against the pole. Hi Folks, Does anyone know authoritatively if using infrared lights shining away from your vehicle will a) obscure it for cameras and b) if someone doing this commits any offences. So far, attempting to pervert the course of justice. Cheers, WAID

Evening all, I have a friend who has epilepsy. They've not had a fit for a few years and they are allowed to drive and for all intents and purposes, seems to have it under control. The cause is not known but it is known strobes etc don't cause it and it is possible low blood sugar is the cause. Anyway the question is, are they allowed to join a gun club and even to the point of obtaining a firearms certificate. They have no intention to purchase a firearm and just want to go to the club and shoot. Just wandered what the law is on the matter. Thanks in advance

My wife has a daughter to her ex partner, I will call the ex 'Pea-Brain'. Pea-Brain is now in a relationship with the daughter of a wealthy member of a local OCG (Organised Crime Group). For the purposes of this post I will call him Mr Kray. Pea-Brain has recently moved into a house within the grounds Mr Kray's house. Bit of an odd question, one that i was asked at the weekend and didn't know the answer too. Friend of mine has just purchased a shotgun on his brand new shiney shotgun licence. The trouble is he doesnt own a car. now for transporting this to shoots it will be no problem as he will be getting a lift from another club member however he can not get a lift to bring the weapon home initially. He asked me if it is legal to carry the weapon in a locked gun case which will also be a in another bag on a train. i honestly didnt know so answers on a postcard! Thanks in advance guys.

This one has puzzled me for a while. The Met's policy on cannabis is to deal with it by issuing up to three street warnings. After that then Officers are advised to prosecute (whether by arrest/summons). In order to establish a suspect's suitability for a warning, it must first be established that there are no more serious offences to consider (i.e.PWITS). So the suspect must be cautioned and interviewed on the street. He/she can then be asked, "What is it? Who is it for? Where did you get it? How much did you pay for it?"
