Hi guys, Have searched but nothing came up so thought I'd ask. I'm about to attest this weekend and have the day of role plays to look forward to and a question came to mind. When I heard one of the other intakes during the role play I head "Yeah I've moved that guy on 3 times already" My question is do we have any powers to "move people on" other than S27 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act which requires a good old form to do it? Is there a lesser version of this where we can require people just to leave the immediate area? Thanks J

Hello all, I've seen on many T.V programs, individuals being arrested for selling tobacco on the streets, especially Oxford Street, London. If someone is caught selling tobacco in the streets, what offense is being committed? Also if caught purchasing tobacco which you know to be illegal are you committing an offense? Thanks in advance

***This question is related to an unfortunate incident in the news which I dont want to detail because I know its inapropriate for officers to comment on ongoing enquires. Hopefully I can ask the question in an acceptable manner*** RTC takes place in which the main vehicle involved fails to stop, and the drivers fails to come forward of own accord. Unfortunately one person dies as a result of the incident. Blame for the collision is unclear, but obviously the driver is guilty of failing to stop. So what would the max and min sentence be for the offence of failing to stop at a fatal accident (does the fatality make any difference) also what would a typical sentence be? …

I got arrested for drink driving but my keys was at my friends house 5 miles away. I basically brokedown and had no clutch and was by myself so the car was parked very bad and in front of some 1s driveway. So when i arrived at my friends bbq i had a couple of drinks and we headed back to the car and basically pushed it in to a safe area in which the police saw us and my mates had a few cans in there hands so they breatherlized me and was over the limit i got arrested and charged for drink driving and was wondering what the outcome will be when i was detained and searched with no keys they searched us and my car 3 times. I got released and the AA had to recover my car …

About a week ago, I was being a bit of a t**t around a car park. In the end I came off the road and into a drainage plain. I have not got the letter through the post yet about me being a t**t but when I do get it what will it say? Will it be individual to my circumstances and state exactly why I got it or will it be a general letter saying what you get a section 59 warning for? The police officer who gave me the caution said it was the "new type of section 59", don't know if that makes a difference. Thanks!

Im 16 soon and i feel like a burdon on my mates who can drive and my parents so i want a scooter to help me get about. I know at 16 i can have a 50cc, but ive heard that once you do 500 miles you can have it de-resticed. Is this true? and would you be able to tell me any other important rules that may be usefule?

Hi all, I was wondering, if someone has received a DR10 conviction (Drink Driving ) this being the one and only DR10, and occurred 10 years ago, is this conviction covered by the 'Rehabilitation od Offenders Act 1974' inasmuch as it is 'spent' after 5 years, assuming that there have been no further convictions? Also, although it remains on thr driving licence for 11 years, do you have to declare it in order to obtain motor insurance if the conviction is more than 5 years old if not asked to do so?. We are usually asked about claims and convictions etc within the last five years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards, The Black Rabbit

Late last year a driver to exception to myself using the road to cycle to work. They drove a inch off my rear wheel blearing there horn. Then drove up next to me blearing there horn and then yelling obscenities at me. Then promptly pulling in on me forcing me off the road. It was pure luck I managed to stay on my bike. I managed to get the vehicle number so pulled out my mobile and called the police. I women at the end of the phone asked what she wanted her to do about it. Hi all, A colleague at work asked me a question about firearms today, and not having a clue about the answer (as it's out of our 'Specials' remit I suppose!), I was wondering if I could pose the question to yourselves. The question was, which laws govern the carrying of firearms by body guards? Are there circumstances in which carrying a firearm by a body guard is legal or illegal? I think the question arose when observing a shopper and her bodyguard at an upmarket London shop, so please do not worry that anyone I know is interested in carrying a firearm!
