Hi, My neighbour thinks he is a lumberjack,, at the bottom of our gardens is a public footpath, like a country walk as beyond that is approx a quarter of a mile of wildlife and trees etc,, a couple of big, big trees grow up the back (but not in our property) not even into or overshadowing actually,, the trees in question are about 20-30 feet+ which he has totally destroyed. only half of the main trunk remains and all branches are lopped off in a very untidy fashion,, we phone the local police regarding another incedent and just happen to mention that (At that time) he was starting to again become very interested in the trees,, (we had to ask him to stop last year whi…

This seems to rear its ugly head every now and again I have tried to sanitise all that you will have to go to the page concerned to see links Two years in jail for 007 Police fantasist Now my reason for posting this is that I have come across some who over the years has made all sorts of claims about Military service and even lying about his father being a dead SAS hero. He claims to have served with the Royal Marines for 20 years and at the same time been in the Parachute Regiment and is also a Pathfinder, there probably isn't a war he hasn't served in and his medals include QGM, MM. Ok so a Military Walt might be harmless but he has set a group that raises money f…

I am a policeman serving in Cyprus and in the last few days there is an uproar in the public here, because the court has acquitted ten policemen. This is the story here story you see the person who had filmed the incident was afraid to appear in court and testify, instead he gave the video to the attorney general who in turn testified how he received the video. So i would like to ask you whether video is accepted as evidence in uk courts without the testimony of the person controlling the camera(s).

Just a thought, Should Police officers (when on duty, in uniform, liveried vehicle etc) set a good example to the other road users by the standard of their driving/roadcraft? especially when it comes to things such as signalling, parking, seat belts, adhering to the speed limit etc. I'm not necessarily referring to Class 1 drivers and the like, just your average patrol vehicle. Just wondering, lets say you were driving along a section of road/motorway that was narrow/one way/lanes coned off etc and one of the emergency services was behind you with light's & siren on, is it ok to break the speed limit until you get to the nearest gap/spot where you can pull over to get out of their way?

Hi I've read lots of different views on this question so came here in the hope of a definitive answer. Whats the law regarding driving to an MOT station ? I have a car thats been parked up over winter and want to put it back on the road, the MOT ran out last week, I thought it was in early April and still had time to tax it and take it for it's MOT. Would it be ok for me to drive it to my fathers garage which happens to be 90 miles away, (as I've moved house since last year), or is it a case of trailering it there. I believe you can drive to a pre-booked MOT but is 90 miles too far and should it be taxed, obviously I can't get tax without MOT. It is insured. Thanks …

I hope someone can help me out, well my brother. My brother bought a car off his friend and has a receipt to prove this. His now ex girlfriend is named on registered keeper and has her own insurance on this car as my brother a non driver. She left all paperwork at my brothers but took the spare key to the car. She stole his gold and car, which my brother reported to the police. The police stating its a civil matter but surely not, as a crime has been committed. Police gave him a crime report number. Where dose he stand and if we do find the car, what can we do? Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully a response.

I am on a public services course at college, most of my tutors are ex-coppers and most of the students in my class want to join the police including me. the other day I was think i was assaulted at college. not sure if it counts as "assault without injury" i'm hoping some officer can tell me. someone folded a piece of paper small, tight and hard and flicked it into my face with a large piece of elastic. it was recorded on a mobile phone. it was passed around and I was completely singled out everyone having a laugh at my expense. i tried to get them to let me see it but the owner of the phone pretended he deleted it (even showed me). later that day we were in class and …

Hi I'm posting to try and get some advice or opinions regarding something which happened to me a few months ago, but which is still causing me a huge amount of worry and stress. Basically, I paid to join an adult website which contained both a 'forum' area and also an archive of files submitted to the forum. These were sound recordings of people involved in sexual activity. Everything from the front page and throughout the forum appeared entirely legal, referenced adults, had clear disclaimers and statements that illegal material was not tolerated and had ICRA and RTA filtering labels attached. On looking through the lists of recordings in the archive area, I found…

The other week a lad I work with was confronted by a mugger after walking home from a sports event. First the guy asked for change, then when he said he didn't have any, he started becoming aggressive, pushed him against a wall and started trying to undo his jacket. My workmate is quite a built guy, adrenaline took over I guess and he ended up punching the mugger to the ground before running away. He said he didn't see the mugger get back up btw. Afterwards he walked to our local police station and told them that someone had just tried to mug him. I'm not sure if he spoke to a police officer or just the guy on the front desk. Anyway, they said ''what did he take?'' a…
