Hi Sorry if this is in the wrong place, last night at 7pm I had 2 teenagers and 1 - 5 year old ripping daffodils out of my neighbours lawns, I shouted out at them and they ran off they were all girls. One of them then decides to come back and proceed to do this again and even though Im shoutinmg carries on waiting to see what Ill do about it. She then starts holding one of her breasts and shaking it at me, So all you police here pls tell me what I should do about this because sorry i wasnt brought up to accept this behaviour and I really wanted to smack this girl hard in the face. She has no respect for herself or anyone but Im sure I would then be the one locked…

Good day, Firstly I would like to say that this forum is very interesting. As a new member i see the members are making informed and valid comments. Hence I would like to put a topic to the floor. Private Security Companies. Is there a place in the UK society for private security companies to to relieve the pressure put on the police. The Police cannot be replaced but with all the paperwork and accountability of police officers, would you as policemen and women be happy with a PSC to attend to minor compliants whilst freeing a bit of your time to concentrate on the more serious aspects of policing? I realise this can be a hot topic and as my first post my intention i…

Hi all, I'm not a Police Officer yet, I start in a few weeks, but I saw something in town the other that got me thinking. My GF and I were walking down Brick Lane late Saturday night and saw a middle aged woman discuss 'business' with a guy, who clearly give her a wrap of crack before moving into an alleyway and proceeded to remove her trousers, most likely to perform some sort of sex act. I tried looking for some beat officers for a few minutes but couldn't locate any and after 10 mins I gave up because anything that was happening would have been over by then anyway. My question is, if I had witnessed this while I was a fully qualified PC,and carrying my warrant card…

Hi there, I know that under the RTA a MV is a MPV intended or adapted for use on the road. I also know that under the Police Reform Act a MV is a MPV whether or not it is intended for use on a road. Under the Vehcile Crime Act 2002 a MV is any vehicle whos function is or was to be used on roads as a MPV. Now my question is this. Go Peds and mini motos are MV for the purposes of the RTA BUT they are not intended by the manufacturer for such use and they are not adapted for such use. So how can they be a MV? The question is very confusing because I think the "intent" could come from the manufacturer (what they intend the vehicle to be used for) and from the intent o…

Hi all, Im an AFO with the Ministry of Defence Police an so carry a firearm on a day to day basis in a number of different roles. I have heard on good authority through the firearms grapevine that ACPO are keen to roll this piece of kit out as standard issue. Now although I have never had cause to actually use my Taser, I do see the effect that it has just by being strapped to my leg and for those of you in the know the figures in relation to deployment of Taser speak for themselves. Now I was just interested to hear from those of you in the job as to what your thoughts and feelings are in relation to this. Are there any non AFO's out there who would love to have an ext…

This topic rears its head every now and again and I'm well aware that the eye rolling is about to start! All I can say is tough, I'm going to talk about it anyway- Does anyone know of any case in which an OFF DUTY police officer has ever been a) Charged or b) Convicted of possession of an offensive weapon after being swifted for carrying a baton off duty?

Well just looking to see if anyone has some advice. As some people here may know the street I live on has suffered some problems with anti-social behaviour over the years however this has calmed down apart from one or 2 bad apples but nothing too serious at the moment. One of the families has moved out but to my dismay I have found out who is moving in to the house only 2 doors down from me.... Turns out a family well known to be involved with druggy families, the 16 year old son is tagged and known to be involved with violent crime and arson. Basically proper rough buggers. As if that is not bad enough it seems somehow a few people on the street (the local gossipers) …

Some people who live on a dead-end road which my son and his friends use to get to the woods, try to stop them from using the road. It is a private road, and they say because its private they should not be on it. Are they right? And what can the kids do if they try to stop them? They just ride their bikes through or sometimes friends or parents take their bikes in their cars or vans and park at the top of this road near the gate. The owner/landlord of the road and houses has put a gate at the end of the road, but they lift their bikes over and climb over into the woods, which I believe also belongs to the same man. But the kids go through his woods into someother woods …

Hello all, I was talking to some bloke last night and he asked me a random question. He asked me if you could be charged with indecent exposure and be placed on the sex offenders list as a result of urinating in public. I'm in no position to answer his question, so I open the floor to you guys who might be able to. Thanks in advance Rick
