A quick question if you dont mind people.... If you pull over a car with one adult driver and two childern (both the drivers), however the one child is stood between the two front seats, no belts or child chairs etc. Apart from the Fixed pen. is there anything else you can do to re-enforce the message that that practice is totally unacceptable? I was thinking along the lines of reporting the driver to social service child services. Recless endanagerment of a minor ? Cheers. Northants SC.

After a sheep who had never joined the Tufty Club ruined my day yesterday I got thinking about which animals are on the list of those that would result in an RTC being reportable. I know which are on the list (sheep is included unfortunately) but wondered why certain animals are on the list and why some (ie cats, mainly) are not. Is it that the animals on the list are generally large and cause more damage or is it down to their value? For the record, I can confirm that sheep do cause quite some damage.

Hello. Yesterday, the town I was in was inundated with cyclists. absolutely hundreds of them on an organised bike ride. All well and good and fair play to them. They were, as is their right, using public roads and followed a set route. Marshalls were at set point etc. The roads were not closed. The cyclists were spread out over miles and miles. Again, this is all well and good and fair play to them. However, traffic was a complete nightmare, cars were snarled up for miles. During another sleepless night last night I watch one of the "cops" reality shows. IIRC it was filmed in the north of England and featured a drugs raid on a flat. After finding 4 or 5 baggies of cannabis (resulting in the usual light sentence for possession) the officers showed 2 swords, a small lock knife and some nunchukus. The voiceover took great delight in describing the "illegal" lock knife and nunchukus. Also a condesending tone was used when the swords were shown. Has anyone heard of Breach of the Peace preventative arrest powers being used on a large scale before an event to stop anticipated trouble makers at an event from causing a disturbance? For example, there is a big music concert taking place in a park and intelligence suggests that two rival gangs will be using it as an arena for a big gang fight. Just a bit of advice needed. Last week there was a local fatal car crash in which I believe 2 out of the 4 occupants have died. This morning on the local news was a picture of the car involved and it brought back an incident which happened a couple of weeks ago. A few weeks ago me and my girlfriend were driving along a road and came across a car which matches the description of the one involved in this fatal incident. Hello, I need some advice as to what I should do with the following situation. I have a friend who is a professional gymnast, however, a few months ago she was raped by a fellow gymnast. He was charged and is currently in jail. However, her fellow gymnasts constantly tease her, threatening her physically and verbally with rape, as well as kicking and hitting her and throwing things at her, and also locking her in rooms. We don't have any proof other than a few saved msn conversations where they abuse her and her own word . Should we approach the police? What legal action can we take? Any help would be greatly, hugely appreciated.

Hi all, before anyone starts, i'm not intending to do anything with this information and im not seeking legal advice, but heres the situation. In my school there is a ban on selling things in school (ie, people go to cosco/macro and buy lots of lucozades and sell them in school for £1) because they say it causes all sorts of problems. Hi all, Last night my partners 15yr old son staggered home late obviously worse for wear due to alchohol. When we asked him what he was playing at he told us that he was on his way to his friends house when a gang of lads he knows, lead by a 24yr old alledged drug dealer, stopped him and told him that he was staying with them. Was just mulling this over. Was driving back down the m6 on saturday and passed motorway unit that had pulled over a vehicle. as we were passing, officer was opening back of his vehicle for motorist to get in the back. What is the law re this? I have seen it on countless occasions on various TV docs etc but have never come across it myself whilst policing as obviously never been involved with RPU. If a police officers asks motorist to get in the back of the car, are they legally obliged too and under what law is this required? I'm a bit dubious about the OP's account of events, but what would consitute an act that could be likely to cause alarm, distress or inconvience? I don't think the act was designed for this sort of event, but do you think you could justify it's use in these circumstances?

Hi, not sure if this question is best suited here or some kind of doctors site - but I'm here now so I'll ask it :-) In fact I'm not sure how to frame it as a question so I'll just put my thoughts together and hopefully you'll catch my drift! On 'average' (yes I know everyone is different) the body can remove 1 unit of alcohol per hour so if i drink 10 units, can i then assume i have no alcohol in my system after 10 hours? If i take 2 hours to drink said 10 units, would i only actually need 8 hours to be alcohol free? Seems to be just simple maths to me (variance in body mass aside) but the minimum time quoted seems to always be at least 12 hours if not a whole day - is…

It started as a horse being stabled and the owner was unhappy with the treatment. We attended when the horse was being removed without the the bill being settled. The stable owner was unhappy with the horse being removed and wanted to keep the horse as leverage on payment. I'm not sure if this is the exact correct forum, but I can't find a better place and it is about the application of the law, but not the law itself. I'm a student and as such I drive a cheap car. In my case it is a Renault Clio Mk1. It's old, but it's in good nick and I always fix things when they need it and perform maintenance regularly. I always have insurance, a road fund licence and a current MOT for it. I never speed as I drive to Roadcraft standards (taught myself with a book/DVD and practice) but have never taken the IAM exam.
