Just a quick question. I got flashed by a camera tonight on seven sisters road in North London. This area is a 30MPH speed limit and my speedo was pointing at about 28 so id say i was doing about 26 give or take. My question is...will they automatically send me the ticket and it will be my responsibility to challenge it or do they double check the tickets before they are sent out. I only wonder as i am going away on wednesday for a couple of weeks and do not want to get back to a ticket on the doormat and time running out to challenge it.

Let me just run this by you - Police are called to the report of a domestic in the street but there are no offences disclosed on their arrival. The male at the scene provides details that are found to be false. Can the male be brought into custody so further ID enquries can be made? After all, he could be wanted.

I have searched on the net and on here but seem stumped what is the offence for driving with no MOT? As in all my traffic ticket books it doesnt have it as an offence the only one was on an ANPR pad but that code can only be used in conjunction with an ANPR operation.

Just reading the MOT topic got me thinking about something I heard recentley. Apparentley failure to wear a seatbelt now carries a £60 NEFPN as appose to the £30 NEFPN. Is this correct, has anyone had any recent dealings with this offence?

Right, I'm a bit confused by this. With people that have passed their car driving test, Category B (or B Auto) post 1997, I was under the impression that a separate test had to be taken to tow a trailer. Any trailer. However, This DVLA page under cars & light vans, seems to contradict that. Saying that a trailer can be towed as long as the MAM isn't over 750kgs. So can my daughter drive my car with a trailer (<750kg) for trips to the local tip for example? Section 27 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 has come into effect. This gives any police officer in uniform the power to require a person aged 16 or over who is in a public place to leave a locality and not return for up to 48 hours, if the officer believes that direction is necessary to remove or reduce the likelihood of there being alcohol related disorder in that locality.
