Mrs. A owns a car. Mrs. B wants to borrow the car Mrs. B cannot get temporary insurance as she would need to have a 'financial interest' in the vehicle so tells the insurance company that she is the owner. 1) Mrs. B is stopped by the police and given a producer. Mrs. B presents the 'New Keeper Supplement' at the police station and Mrs. A completes the change of ownership section and posts it. Then changes it back when the new V5 arrives 2) Mrs. B is not stopped by the police so returns the car to Mrs. A Any prosecutable offences in either scenario 1 or 2? (I know it is DWI but would it make court/could it be proven?)

Picture the scene, you and your partner are on patrol in a Crime Hot Spot area (shed loads of car and house breaks) you see two people who are clearly together you recognised from briefing, so you to stop the two to have to a chat, your grounds are simple as there has been some resent crimes. you search one and find an item you believe can be used to commit crime, your partner finds nothing on the other. What do you do? arrest the one with the item, or, arrest both as although the other did not have anything on him he is still going equipped by association?

Someone started on me in the pub a week or so ago, my girlfriend works in this pub so i know most of the people who work there. They all know i was training and was almost a special. One of them shouted (stupidly) "He's a Police Officer by the way" I thought "oh ######". He started on me even more and had to laugh as he gave me a navy id badge and claimed to be in the "Navy Police" and that he'd arrest me for breach of peace "coz a feel like it", I just said "Navy Police? Yeah orite then.... The only one here breaching the peace here mate is you." before he was promptly asked to leave the pub, which in fairness he did so after violently "cheersing" our glasses. Some fo…

I was out on one of my christmas parties last night and up came a question that got me wondering, hope you can help... Mr X walks into a bar and drops (lets say) rohypnol into Miss Y's drink which is on a shelf at the side of the pub as she is talking to someone - obviously without her knowing about it. Miss Y soon becomes very ill and an ambulance is called to the pub where shortly after she is taken to hospital in the company of her friends. Now, forgetting what could have happened, what is the offence commited here should Mr X have been identified and detained? Thanks.

Right, 2 Identical male Twins. Only one has a driver's licence and is insured. The other one goes out in the car and is pulled over. He says he doesn't have his licence or insurance documents on him and gives his brother's details to the officer. I'm not sure the exact procedure... but the officer tells him to bring his insurance documents etc into the local office within a certain time. He takes his brothers documents with photo proof ID of his identical brother. My Question: Do twins get buy one get one free insurance? Or is there something I'm missing.

Hi everybody. I was just wondering what could be done if you received an anonymous message through the mail stating that a neighbour was convicted of a crime. Would telling the police about the note be enough? Would you tell the person the note is about that you'd received it?

You're out on duty and are wearing your poppy with pride. You are sent to deal with a group of youths that someone has reported as being 'rowdy'. While you're talking to them, one of them deliberately knocks/flicks your poppy. You tell him not to do that again but he does. The poppy falls off and into a puddle, effectively ruining it. What do you do? I've used the term youths in the scenario to mean early teens, but run the same again, this time with someone over 18. Would your actions be any different?

Person A has £150 protection under an online payment scheme run by the auction company and uses said scheme to pay the full amount. Person A then uses credit card to settle online payment scheme. John buys a car, as far as he knows legitimately. Six months later John receives a visit from his local traffic boys saying that his car is in fact stolen. They do not suspect John to be the suspect however they say that he has to return the car to the original owner. John refuses to allow this to happen as he says he bought the car in good faith. Any offences?

John recovers several large sacks of golf balls and believing them to be abandoned by their owners intends to sell them? Has John committed theft?

Wasnt sure where to post this, but I'm sure someone will move it if needed. Saw this today and wondered if there was any offences committed or what you would do: On a public street, not a road, a pedestrian only street with many pubs and shops et you see a group of people having a BBQ outside a pub. They are obviously not owners/employees at the pub providing food for customers, they are individuals haveing bought food at a local supermarket and cooking it on the street. Are there any offences committed here? What would you do?

Insured driver A rear ends uninsured driver B causing major damage to both cars. Insured driver A is clearly at fault. Is driver A responsible for repairs to the vehicle being driven by uninsured driver B ? If yes, why ? If no why ?
