Hello, What happens in the following situation? For those who are job and not. You are in a nightclub, your friend becomes ill very quickly and you suspect he may have been drugged. You go to assist and first aiders of the nightclub come along and take assistance. They decide to take your friend to an isolated room besides the property and the owner of the premises rejects you access because of "security concerns as money gets passed through this area", which would mean you leave your friend by themself. The first aiders claim that an ambulance should not be called and if one is required they will make the call (not that they have any powers to stop you, ofcourse). Your…

A busy night in town, and your on foot patrol with a colleague. A group of girls on a hen night walks past and you notice the 'Hen' is carrying an novelty object which is usually bought on hen nights in which you fit this object over a straw which is basically an imitation of a mans genetalia (i hope you get what i mean). The hen has this object and although has no straw of a drink, she is using the object provocatively walking to her next pub (this is so difficult to describe but i think you get my drift). Anyway, immediately as the hen night walks past, an older rather prudish looking couple also walk past, and the lady approaches you and asks if you are going to do so…

Hi, Start my specials training in a few weeks. I was wondering what would happen if I was off duty one day and witnessed a crime and had to phone 999 to report it. Would i identify myself as an SC with my number/devision? What would be the procedure in this case?? I also work part time in an electrical store, can I arrest shop lifters in the store if i have my warrant card? Thanks G

Lets say your on patrol around you force's local town centre one friday night, and a group of people you know, have unfortunately happened to end up there, whilst you are there they start a fight with another group of lads, Now do you intervene as normal as you would anyone else, or do you concentrate on the other group and leave your "Friends" to you colleagues? Also what happens back at the station with regard to you being there whilst people you know are in custody, as they will be obviously telling everyone they see that you are there mate etc etc Cheers Ryan PS i did a search to see if this topic has been on previous, but there was no results, sorry if it ha…

Hi all, as a potential future SC I'm wondering where I or anyone else for that matter would stand on if you know for a fact someone drink drives. My girlfriend's aunt regularly drinks well past the limit to the extent of a couple bottles of wine or more and still insists she must drive, I've gave her a telling off for it before but only get shot down as I'm not a copper yet and the family sides with her and lets her drive anyway. Putting aside the argument of just living around the corner (which makes my blood boil) what would you all do in this instance? :D

Let's say you're in this situation: You're a college student, and a fellow pupil constantly undermines you, insults you, deliberately embarrasses you and generally bullies you. He's not a particularly big guy and you could probably overpower him in a physical confrontation; however his abuse isn't physical. You've had strong words both with him and with the college and nothing has changed. One night, at a party, he approaches you, same as usual, except this time he's drunk and a bit more abusive than usual, and he threatens violence. What force is reasonable against this person in these circumstances? If you were charged, if you used any level of force against him, woul…

Hardly crime of the century but got me thinking today. Was in class teaching when I heard loud noiseson the roof. The next minute, one of the office staff comes bursting through the door shouting that there were two male youths (13-14yrs old) on the roof who had been looking through the top windows of the staffroom. By the time I get outside they had ran the length of the roof and were making off over bushes at the back of the school. As I say, hardly the crime of the century, but had I got hold of them, what would the correct course of action be? (as a special effectively off duty). I'm also not sure of the crime committed. Cheers, Martin

Hello, this will either get resolved very quickly or not. I’ll do my best to explain the scenario (and ask if you want any gaps filling in) its all very much in the spirit of "I wonder if anyone has thought of that". Me and a friend were thinking this, we haven’t done it, and we wouldn’t we realise that at the very least it’s morally wrong as well as illegal etc etc (I asked this on a different forum a while back and all I got was people shouting) Right, my friend is driving my car that he is not insured for, the car has tax, MOT and is insured under my name, the car has no faults etc. My friend gets pulled over by the police (for something trivial, or may…

Here's one for you, If you got a job to detain and arrest a monster of a man who was 6ft 6" about the same wide, had arm muscles bigger than your legs, a lengthy history of violence towards anyone inc Police, had assaulted a large number of regs all at the same time, and the last time he was arrested assaulted two officers and took two cans of pava to quieten him down. And you and your SC colleague get the job of visiting him what would you do? Let's presume he's not coming quietly.

hi guys. Little senareo for you. My friend left her purse on the bus 2 weeks ago. She contacted the bus company who confirmed that they had it so she found no reason to cancel her cards. 2 days later when she collected her purse she found her bank card and driving licence were missing so immediatly called bank to cancel card. Now when eventually she recieved her new card, it has come to light that around 60 pounds has been spent including a 20 pound mobile phone top up. She asked for my advice so i said report it to bank and police. At the least the bank will want crime ref. How accurate advice is this? Also this got me wondering. How seriously would the police take thi…

A person is walking down a narrow pavement on a busy road and a group of people are walking towards him. He tries to get out of their way as much as possible but is forced into the road to let them pass. Should he of just pushed them out of the way or was he doing the right thing to avoid confrontation?

The other day I saw an officer stood by the side of the road with a speed gun (obviously checking speeds), and a little further round the corner out of the officers sight there was a bloke waving like mad telling people to slow down! Now I was just wondering if that is an offence to do that or not?

Well an interesting conundrum indeed! Keeping in mind Sec 3 CLA, 117 PACE and Common law. How do officers feel about using force to prevent escape, re-capture, or apprehension of an offender? Simple scenario: An arrest is made for criminal damage, an offender is located, but has sustained a relative serious laceration in the commission of offence. Officer attempts to offer assistance in order to stem blood loss. As officer is retrieving first aid kit the offender make off. Arresting officer and colleague give chase. Offender is not recaptured, ######! So back to question, would officers feel it appropriate to use PAVA or Baton or Taser to prevent an escape…
